Have medical issues with thyroid and continue gaining weight.  Afraid to get as large as my mother.  Have seen nutrionist 5x and therapist 2x.  Hope to have lapband by first of the year and change my life and be healthy and thin like I was 12 years ago. Well I am now a member of the lap band society.  My surgery was April 5 2010.  Went to the doctor on April 16, 2010 and am down 13 pounds since the first day I say my doctor.  Had a really rough time losing 10% of body weight that was required by my doctor before seeing him it took me almost a year to do all the requirements before having surgery but I can say I DID IT!! And now I am on my way to a healthier me.
