I am quickly approaching my 50th birthday, and I have always been large but relatively healthy. But only recently, within the last 2-3 years, I have had to take blood pressure medicines and cholesterol medicines, and I am afraid of what other damage I am doing to myself by remaining this large. I have a great opportunity now to correct and even reverse the effects of being obese, and I don't want to miss it. I want to buy clothes off the rack, sit comfortably in the theatre seats, and live to enjoy a retirement without the pain of over-stressed joints and an aching back.
