  4. Hello all- I was banded in July 2009 and am having a tummy tuck in January 2011. This surgery is already scheduled. Has anyone had weight loss and had this surgery done? If so, what can i expect? The good, the bad, the ugly - please. My ultimate goal is to return to work after 3 weeks - is that do-able?? I have lost over 100 pounds and will have this done at the same time i have a hernia repair. I am told i will be cut from hip to hip to remove the excess skin - which i call a roll and then the remaning skin will be stretched down to form my new stomach - any information anyone is willing to share is more than i have now, so please give me any you have. Thanks in advance!!

    Exhausted by 3pm

thanks all for replying. I starting taking an Iron pill on Sunday (am severly anemic) and have starting drinking Muscle Milk - one per day. 25 grams of Protein in each shake. only 3 grams of sugar. and their actually not bad tasting. I am not as tired and I actually made it until 9pm last night before falling asleep.

Nope, no blood pressure meds. As a matter of fact, my pressure has always been low. Im fat, but have always had low blood pressure. When i was in the hospital and they kept taking my vitals it was like 89 / 55. They kept retaking it and retaking it. Now you've got me wondering if it could be too low... uuggghhh
  7. Hello all- I was just wondering if any of you have this / had this issue after being banded. Or maybe experiencing it now. I was banded on July 20th. I have no complaints, except i am completely exhausted by 3 o'clock in the afternoon. I start to shiver, my hands and feet get so cold i cant stand it and i just want to go to bed. This has now been happening for about a week. I do take my Vitamins, but spuratically. Im pretty sure i dont get my 80 grams of Protein in. Im trying to do this, but its so hard. I go to the Doctor and the Dietician both on 9/2, and i wont call them before that. So i was just wondering - do you think its just a lack of nutrients? I feel completely fine in the morning after a FULL (from 8pm to 5am) nights sleep. I drink down a Water and some coffee first thing and i feel great. But come afternoon, im just done. any responses are greatly appreciated.

    caffeine

Hi Jacksdad. I too am almost one month out. I have been drinking one cup of coffee with caffeine each day. Before being banded i was a huge coffee drinker. Usually by the pot. So the coffee intake has gone down, but dont know if its ok to have that one cup per day.
  10. Hello all. New to the banded world. I was banded on 7/20 and i am currently in the mushies stage. I also had a ventral hernia repair, so i still have pain, but from the hernia repair, not from the band. What i want to ask is this. How bad is it that i havnt taken my multi vitamin or calcium until today. Almost a month has gone by since my banding and today is the first day i've taken them..... :w00t:
