I don't really have a lapband "story" just yet.  I've had all of the pre-op testing done, and I'm now waiting on my HMO to approve my surgery, so that I can go ahead and schedule a date. They need to hurry up, before I chicken out like I did 2 years ago. I changed my mind back then because I made the mistake of telling people, and when I did they talked me out of it, saying that I didn't need it, or that they knew somebody who had it done and they became very ill, etc. So this time, I've only told immediate family and my bestest bestest girlfriend.  She is super supportive, and in fact was pressuring her husband to have the surgery like me (I made her stop, so she's left him alone...for now =0)
