I get my first fill Monday, Sept 14th. I have lost 2 pounds in the last two weeks, so the weight loss has really slowed down. I know it's supposed to, but it was fun watching the scale go down every day while it lasted. I was feeling quite hungry last week, but this week I started eating regular meals, and I am feeling more satisfied. Now I am questioning whether or not I should get the fill. I'm sure getting the protein in is a challenge if you don't eat meat. I have considered giving it up. Maybe down the road.

Today is week 5, and I am feeling great. I have lost 22 pounds, but I have also come off my blood pressure medicine already. What are most of you eating at this point?

Thanks! Can you believe I'm allergic to eggs. I would eat eggs every morning if I could. At lunch I can eat very little, but by dinner I can eat much more. Have any of you had that experience?

I agree. It sounds like acid reflux. -

Thanks! I'm just figuring this out. I was on clear liquids for the first 2 weeks. Now, I have added fudgesicles and n/f lite yogurt. I'm still not very hungry.

My surgery went well, but I was in a lot of pain the first 24 hours. There was a lot of pressure behind my breastbone, and it hurt to breath. My surgeon said the second day would be the worst, but for me it was better. Today is sooooo much better. First two days I was counting the minutes until I could take more vicodin. Today, I have gone 6 hours without any severe pain. Hopefully, tomorrow I won't need it. Today, I have felt well enough to really absorb what I have done and get excited about the future. I can't believe I actually did it.

The pain under my upper left rib has been frustrating. I was feeling so great until it started. It really takes my breath away when it happens. If I wrap my upper stomach with an ace bandage, it helps a lot. My hunger is still under control. I went out for dinner with friends last night, and I was fine not eating. That's a miracle. 203>185> 137 goal How do I get one of the graphics that tracks the weight loss?

I hear you sister. It's so painful! -
I have been feeling great and have lost 17 pounds in 2 weeks. Wednesday night when I sat on the sofa I had severe pain in my upper left stomach at the top of the ribs. It has hurt on and off since--sometimes severely. I saw the doctor yesterday and he thought the band may be rubbing on a muscle. Last night I started getting a fever. My doctors don't seem very concerned.

Left Upper Quadrant Abdominal Pain-? Port Pain
NINASCUSTOMER replied to nursejenjen2003's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Did it go away on it's own? Did they find anything in the ER? I'm having the same problem. It's a little scary. -

Only 3 days post banding, and I can't believe how much better I feel. The only pain is at the port incision when I bend over or twist somehow. Last night and this morning I felt dizzy, so I focused on drinking more fluids, and I feel so much better. I'm feeling hopeful!
