I've thought about having the band for 3 years, finally gave up on the notion that I could lose weight and keep it off by myself.  My last attempt was a 40 pound weight loss, followed a year later by a 55 weight gain. I went to see Dr. Provost early May, did the 90-day program and they sent my precertification to Aetna on July 30th.  I had an approval on August 4th with a BMI of 40.  I am thrilled I have finally stepped up to make this change in my life and can't wait for what lies ahead.
