I am in the early stages of exploring Lap band surgery. I have been struggling with my weight since I was 15, almost 40 years. I have been on every program imaginable and have lost and gained so many times. I am looking for help that will get my eating and weight issues under control. I am at my highest weight ever, each time I lose I seem to gain back more than I lost. I want to feel better; in the last few year I really think my weight is having an adverse affect on my quality of life. I am so much more tired; it is hard to do things. I have joint pain. I have also developed hypothyroidism. I also struggle with Migrains. I also seem to have lost my confidence; I don't feel good about myself. I really want to find a way to lose weight and keep it off so I can be more active and feel better. I've been doing a lot of research on this surgery option; I think it is a viable option but I am scared of the risks and of failure. I hope to continue to learn more, especially by talking with people who are in different parts of this journey.
