trouble finding compression garments to fit properly
Dixie37 posted a topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hello all , im 4 weeks post op of tummy tuck and breast lift and ive been wearing the binder from the hospital. My doc just recently took my drains out and told me to start wearing spanx along with the binder. Well ive tried 4 kinds now and spent a fortune and cannot get one to fit properly.. either the legs cut cirulation off or hurts my ribs.. Anyway i have another kind coming in the mail monday. a high top brief so any suggestions. Do you think this one is good for tummy tuck healing? thanks. I think im just proportioned different... I just dont wanna mess up my results. Im worried i wont find a good one... Thanks all. -

hey im 4 weeks post op for tummy tuck and breast reduction/lift. Ive been wearing my tummy binder and since thurs my doc wants me to wear spanx. Well either i have too much swelling or something but i ordered according to my size the hip to high waist compression garment and i couldnt get over my hips period. Anyway i ordered the breif compression and hope that works better but until then i will stay in the tummy cincher. How long did you have to wear your compression garments?? Thanks -
Hello all, I am schedueled for a tummy tuck july 19th and recently picked up smoking 2 months ago due to stressful family health issues. The past week Ive cut down to a few a day and trying to quit permanently. Just wondering if anyone had any plastic surgery complications due to smoking before surgery. Beleive me Im trying to quit but its hard at times. I just wonder if one week of no smoking is sufficient prior to surgery???? thanks

Any ideas for protein during clear liquid phase??
Dixie37 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello, i had my surgery on Nov. 3rd and im on a clear liquid diet until my first post op visit on the 16th. Im concerned about not getting enough nutrients and protein so Im pretty much sticking to broth, popsicles, low calorie gatorade and sf jello. Any other ideas for clear liquid diet? I wont be starting full liquids till the 16th i assume.. Thanks for any ideas.... -

Hello, im trying to see if i can get approved through my insurance co. Im hearing different from my nurse/surgeons office and my insurance co. I was told by the nurse that anthem website said i should go through 6 mo diet, 3yrs of bmi of 40 and psyc eval and nutritionist.plus sleep apnea test. my ins. says to have the psyc eval and nutritionist eval and show other non surgical methods of weightloss.. Does not mention 6mo physician supervised.. Im confused and discouraged that im wasting my time.. can anyone help?
