  1. Ok so I had surgery 11/22/09 and I had lost 87 lbs...Over the last month and a half I have gained back 12 lbs. I have had one fill for 2cc's and am scheduled to go tomorrow to get another fill. I hope it will help as I have to admit that I have been able to eat much more than the first two months after surgery. Quite honestly a week after the fill I had I couldnt tell any difference from before the fill. I am currently in grad school working on my MBA and I have recently fallen victim to stress eating over the past couple months. I'm currently doing a liquid diet for two and a half days (Half because I got frustrated last night and ate dinner.). Just frustrated and hoping that I havent stretched the pouch too much or caused a slip or something. Thanks all, Daniel

    Help! Need encouragement and answers

Thanks, Your right, I do need to get back to my previous levewl of dilligence. I will say that I hope after the fill I feel like I did for the first few months. I wasnt very hungry at all, and I was getting full off of very little food. I'm really hoping the fill wil help with hunger as that has been the biggest challenge lately. I have been eating more than the 1/2-3/4 cup, but not near what I unsed to in a sitting! The biggest frustration is the frequency of my hunger. I eat, two hours later im hungry, I eat, three hours later i'm hungry again! I just want to get back to where this tool is helping me control my hunger, as the 87 lbs lost was due directly to its curing my portion control issues and curbing my hunger. I really enjoyed those first few months. It was the first time in my life I felt like I had control of my hunger levels
  3. Ok, My high was 4 months ago. I went to the consultation thinking I was around 395, found out I was 441, could have been a negative but just it motivated me to move forward. Surgery weight was 422, and I currently weigh 395-401. (weighed today at 395, but the scale didnt go that high so it could be inaccurate as it went past 0 to 95) Just wanted to post to create accountability and meet some other's in similar situations. I am 6'6'' ex college football player, played between 350-375. My initial goal weight is 275 then I will reasses the situation. I havent been below 300 since I was 10! cant wait to get back in the two's Any insight or input is helpful and welcome
  4. Hi guys, first off let me state I am extremely thankful to have found this forum. Seeing other guys that had the surgery helped encourage me to take the plunge. So... I just had my first solid meal(mushy stuff last week). So far I'm not sure what I have lost. I had lost 20lbs in two weeks pre surgery, The crappy Taylor scale would never give a reading. Oh well, My question is how long should I wait before I begin lifting again. I am 6'6'' and weighed 422 at surgery (441 high) Any advice, input, or general comments are appreciated. Thanks, Daniel
  5. Anyone? any advice? Thanks
  6. I get banded 11/20 @ 12pm. I'm excited but honestly just a little nervous. Hoping for a smooth transition!
  7. Guys, I'm really glad I found this post. I am meeting with the Dr. in a week do discuss lap band and muscle/strengh retention have been concerns of mine as well. I'm 6'6'' currently 390-396 depending on the day. I was a college offensive linemen and due to the knee surgery I had, and the toll being overweight will take on my body in the future (knees/heart/etc.)I have pretty much decided to move forward with the band. I would appreciate any advice and input from the other side of the table(post-op) Thanks in advance, Dan
