All of my life I have struggled with weight issues.  My goal is a weight that I probably weighed more than in the 3rd grade.  There is a predominance of obesity in my family.  I was always the heaviest person where ever I was.  The lapband has given me hope that I can weigh a normal weight.  It is exciting that I'm almost to the point where I can shop for clothing in a regular store.  That is my first big goal - buy clothing off the rack in a "regular" store.  My husband is excited that when I reach my goal he will can me "girlie" things from Frederick's of Hollywood.  Can't wait!!!Over the past 4 years I have had surgery on both my knees, I was on two blood pressure medications, medication for my joints, and medication for high cholesterol.  It was all I could do to get home from work.  It's been 4 months since my surgery - I've lost 65 pounds, I joined Curves and go there three or four days each week and I'm only taking 1/2 of my cholesteral medication.  My husband says I sleep quietly now - no more snoring!  The best is yet to come.  My goal is to lose 75 more pounds.  I can do it - I have no doubts.  My lapband surgery was the best thing I've ever done for myself.
