forgive my novice approach to boards. I'm not a regular poster anywhere. I just had surgery this past Tuesday. The doc/hosp says everything went textbook and released me as an outpatient a mere 2.5 hours post-op. I did not tolerate the anesthesia well and had the dry heaves for about 24 hours. I've been keeping all my liquids down and stopped heaving by Wednesday. The problem I am having is the inability to pass gas either by burping or otherwise. I'm taking GasX chewables and Mylicon drops, but every time I drink or eat (I'm on the yogurt/liquid protein phase now) I get awful gas pains. Anyone got a suggestion?
