Hello... like many other's I have been struggling with my weight all my life. I have been to one extreme to the other in my weight loss. When I was younger I was very athletic and competitive. But being athletic, I was still called big boned or solid. Then in my late 20's I became obsessive with bodybuilding for over 3 years...Yes, during that time I was skinny, having the 6 pack and eating every 2 hours. I really do not know what happen but I was done, hated gyms and burnt out on chicken, fish and green beans.A couple years later I got married, and had twins...they are 5 now and one would think I would be skinny because of chasing them around. Quiet the opposite, I am at the heaviest I have ever been in my life. I am very frustrated because I know what to do to loose weight and hear it all the time from people..."You can do it you use to be a trainer..." or "Go to the gym.."I started looking into the Lap-band about year ago. I have had a couple friends do the Lap-band and one who did the gastric. My mom is in the program for the gastric procedure. The more I thought about the procedure being less invasive and realizing the problem for me is portion control and being non active. I am scared and excited about getting the Lap-band. As of August 7th, I have not had my procedure. I have finished all my other appointments and just waiting for the appointment with the surgeon.Thank you for all the good information...
