I haven't had lap band surgery yet, but I'm hoping to have it this fall.  I have my first consultation appointment 10/5/09. I am doing the various tests before I meet the doctor.  I've had a weight problem all my life and hope that the lap band is the tool to help me become healthier.  I have several medical problems, diabetic, hypertension and hyperlipidemia.  I've been doing a lot of research and I'm interested in learning all I can before the procedure.  I know the first six weeks or longer is quite an adjustment.  I hopefully will pass all the preop tests and will be able to have the surgery.
