I just wanted to add that I used this formula and it put me at a weight of 165 lbs. Which I would be happy with. I would love to see if I could make it to 140 or 135 but I kind of want to make sure Im in the right frame of mind as I see the scale drop!

You guys were not kidding when they say you get whisked off when you get to Hospital Almater. There were three of us and we were done in a little over an hour. I just had my "last supper" and am trying to keep calm in my room. I would love to take the happy pill RIGHT NOW, but I'm trying to wait for it to get a little later so I don't wake up in the middle of the night and start pacing. I met a group of lovely people and since I am alone it is great to have SOMEONE here that I know. Chrystal and Les will be my sleeve buddies tomorrow and I JUST CAN'T WAIT. My next post should be well after I'm out of recovery.:biggrin0:

YOU and your daughter are in my prayers. Please let us know how GREAT you do during surgery. Im following right behind you but I'm Mexico so my time is a little behind. We'll be sipping and walking in NO time.

Congratulations and it seems like you are having a smooth recovery. Im going in about 4 hours to Dr. Aceves. Then I can offically say the same as you!

:biggrin0: I can remember them telling me it was time to have my first daughter...they just said IT'S TIME. Now It's My Time. Im on my way to San Diego in 4 hours and then on to Mexicali. I've been so anxious; but not nervous at all. Now I'm a little nervous, but I'm sure once I get there I will be fine.

I'm experiencing the same thing and then CRASHING on the diet. But here's the thing. Dr. Aceves said in the literature not to take any pain meds so I've been EATING to make the headache go away. It's mental I'm sure but I was trying to make sure I didn't take anything that would complicate my surgery on Monday. That hasnt stopped me from having 2 sips of Pepsi and some potato chips (less than a handful). I dont know what's wrong with me. I want this to work but i'm feeling SO ANXIOUS! Sorry for the rant, but I feel your pain!

I'm so glad I stuck to my guns and went with him as my surgeon. Im leaving for Mexicali on Sunday! Wish me great healing & losing!

I've been thinking about these things lately also. Im scheduled for Monday too and I just had my will witnessed and notarized. My mother is dead set against it and swears that something will happen. I told her I will not call her until I am at home. She claims she will be ok with it but she just thinks that she will be left alone with my children (15 & 2). Granted I gave everybody a huge scare when I had my youngest daughter in 2007 I had lots of Fluid on my lungs, couldn't breathe and was hospitalized for an additional 4 days after I had gone home with my newborn. My mother was frantic. They said I may have had all kinds of heart problems and all she saw was her being STUCK with my children. My sister died at 36, diabetes and congestive heart failure run in my family on both sides and I have high blood pressure right now. I explained to my mother and also MYSELF that I would be living in fear if I did NOTHING. Just pray and ask God to protect you and everything will be fine! Im two weeks out and I feel the same way! I just don't know what to do with myself. I feel like I have ADD. I can't concentrate at all! I am so anxious though. I work on deep breaths and thinking of sexy clothes and all the shopping I will NO LONGER miss out on :-)

Thank you so much for posting this. I too liken it to childbirth and I had natural childbirth and NO pain whatsoever. I told that to a friend who wound up being in labor for 2 days and eventually had a cesarean...I vowed to never share MY experience again. THANKS AGAIN. I'm getting more anxious to find out how I will feel and GEESH just can't wait to get it over with already.

Aww man. I was banking on the 13th of March also. I just found out that Dr. Aceves had blocked the date to speak at a conference. Maybe he will only do a certain amount on that day. Anyway, I settled for Monday. So I'll be there Sunday for my pre-op tests and getting sleeved on Monday. I'll probably miss all of you; but look forward to it.

Hi There, I was really trying to push it in as soon as possible but when reality hit me and my purse in the face:tongue_smilie:, I realized I probably wont be seeing him until around March. Since I work at a college I figured that Spring Break would be good. I was thinking more a long the lines of having surgery on that Saturday the 13th. SO I will probably be there with you and I am also traveling alone. Thanks, Rene

I've read a lot about energy level decreasing after surgery. True I had a muffin and some cantaloupe today. But I attribute 90% of my tiredness to me being overweight (and lazy). Question is: When I lose the weight, after I've had a VSG (I'm still pre-op), will I STILL be this tired? :sad0: I just assumed that when I lost some of this weight I would CERTAINLY have more energy. Im just starting to wonder if there are other underlying issues here. THANKS!
