I'm October 15 in Raleigh, NC. I'm exited,nervous and hopeful. Trying not to have they syndrome "The Last Supper" before surgery. I know I can do it, I just have to get my mind on something else... but it is sort of hard- as I do love to eat- Good luck to everyone who has October dates for surgery! -

Hi, I'm new to talking on the threads.. My surgery date is scheduled for 10-15-09. My last visit with Dr. Moran is Tuesday then I have to do some pre-op at the hosp. I've been reading post after post and am excited, nervous and hoping for the best. Good luck to everyone that is having the LapBand surgery this month. I -
Great. Thanks for the encouragement. I hope to be banded before Thanksgiving. How much weight have you lost so far? Are you having any side effects?

I saw you are a patient of Dr. Moran's. I got banded by hime 3 weeks ago today. He's a great surgeon. Not the friendliest person, but incredibly smart. I know several people that have been banded by him and they all sing him praises.
In my opinion this has been the best desicion of my life. I'm still learning about food and exercise, but I feel more in control of my life.
