Ok so I am a 21 year old college student. I don't party everyday but I do drink with my friends on the weekends. I am not going to lie sometimes I get drunk and sometimes I just get buzzed...the truth is I feel like I'm at the age where your suppossed to live it up and enjoy life to fullest. I feel like my weight is starting to hold me back. So I am hoping to get banded in the next couple weeks. But my question is can you still enjoy a few drinks after being banded? Your opinions and advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Jade

Jade0729 replied to IamMama's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Hey Heather! I have chosen to see another surgeon named Dr. Enochs in Cary(don't know if you have ever heard of him) but they never answer the phone and you have to leave a msg for them to return your call...i am getting to fed up, i have left two messages and no one has returned my call yet.:blushing: But i have decided that maybe i should start looking for another surgeon in that area before i get to deep in the process, so i came across Dr. Pryor and i wanted to ask you what you thought of her and he office? oh yea congrats on your soon to be band success:thumbup:. I feel like I was punched in my stomach
Jade0729 replied to Erin18's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey Erin18, when I was under alot of stress about 6 months ago I had this feeling in my throat that would not go away..it drove me crazy! just a little humor...so i am what they like to call a pesimist(hope I spelled that right)anywhoo, so I have this feeling in my throat and I'm getting really annoyed it won't go away and i'm starting to get worried. So I decided you know what I have throat cancer...lol!! My mom laughed so hard when i told her.If you knew me you would not be suprised that came out of my mouth at all. I swear I have the worst luck but I just went through a period in my life when I couldn't catch a break and everything was going wrong. But the point of this story is when I did go to my doc for it there was NO CANCER..whewww:tt2: and it was anxiety and stress! He taught me how to relieve some of that stress and deal with my anxiety better and within a matter of days it was gone. Till this day me and my mom laugh at my "cancer scare" So if the decongestant doesn't work, you should definitely see if it is stress related. Im not banded yet but I will try to be as much support as possible:wink2: Jade -

Jade0729 replied to mommakatx2's topic in Insurance & Financing
Ok that helps alot... I actually do have a copy for my records. So basically as long as my surgeons office has a copy to submit to the insurance company for approval there shouldn't be a problem correct? -

Tricare Approval or Denial??
Jade0729 replied to JamieNP's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Hi guys! I swas worried about the same thing. I don't have any of the health issues Tricare requires but my cholesterol is high and I am borderline diabetic. But without surgery i'm pretty sure i will one day. I am really worried about them denying me the first time, were any of you guys denied the first time and approved the second time? -
Has anyone that has been banded and met there goal weight not had to have plastic surgery? I am really worried that once i'm banded and lose all th weight my skin will have lost its elasticity. They say the younger you are the better your chances are of your skin shrinking back and tightening up. What do you guys think?
