    Lost Too Much Weight

Congrats on the amazing weightloss, focus on the good and I agree with Restless, if you were able to be discipline to do it without the band then continue on.....imagine what you can do in another 6 months....best of luck
  7. Hey everyone. I'm 27 and just finished my last requirement and I started this journey June 26, 2009. I shared this decision with my immediate family and a cousin. I don't want to share because I don't want to deal with the judgements. I'm scared, nervous and excited. I'm just ready to begin my life. I am scared about the preop diet, but I'm ready.....wishing everyone all success and happiness.
  8. Thanks a bunch.......my doctor uses lapband, just making sure I wasn't missing anything lol.

    Love affair with food

Food is a very big part of my life, I express myself with food....I eat when I'm happy, sad, nervous, angry, but I'm ready to battle this mental disease and win with the help of the lap band lol.

    Excited

Everything is slowly coming into place. I finished all the testing required as per my doctor and insurance, just need to make sure they send my clearance letters to the surgeon. I just made my nut and psy appt. I'm almost at the finish line. Thanks for eveyone's kind words and support. My journey began 6/26/2009 when I met Dr. Geiss (surgeon). I'm officially no longer discouraged and nervous, but super excited. Hey everyone lol :w00t:

Oh i have one more Question

I'm currently working on my requirements, but my doctor/insurance required: Psy and Nut consult PFT/Sleep Study ECHO/Stress/CHest X-ray Upper GI Lab work All I have left is the psy and nut consult and making sure the doctors send my clearance letters.
  17. hey....I'm trying to find a psy and nut that accepts my insurance

  18. My first support group was scary too. I was the youngest in the room as well, but after listening to everyone's stories I started feeling comfortable. I didn't ask any questions either. I'm still preop myself working on my requirements because I'm worried about hanging skin, I try to work often. Good luck momma....wishing you all the best
  19. Anyone banded by Dr. Giess in Syosset, NY? Any advise or suggestions, comments or conserns for me. I'm currently still working on my requirements. Did you guys use his psy and nut?????

    Never Again...

Beautiful I cried, you listed everything I would've said.....Good luck on your surgery and I wish you all the best. You WILL Succeed
  21. Thanks for your encouraging friends....when you get a chance can you let me know if you used Dr. Giess' psy and nut.

  22. Ok, so I met Dr. Geiss on 6/26/2009 ( he is amazing) and got my list of requirements because my job takes up so much of my time it's been so hard to make appointments. I took a week off of work, so I could get some of appointments done, but I feel like it's not enough. How did you guys finish your requirements so fast? So far I finished with my Cardiologist, I have my endoscopy thursday and have a sleep study this week. Also, I'm starting to get nervous about the whole thing and my family isn't really that supportative about the idea, so I feel alone about it. I guess I just needed to rant. Thanks for listening/reading

    It's taking forever

@MsFab1988 thank you that was sweet. I'm almost done, I'm thankful I was able to take a week off from work to get things done. I have my echo monday, stress test tuesday, sleep study wednesday and my endoscopy today. I have my pul follow up tomorrow. I've been busy.

    It's taking forever

@neesh I'm currently on vacation and I had a lot of double appointments too lol

    It's taking forever

@libriteen believe me after I ranted, I felt a lot better, but I finished the medical portion of my requirements....all I have left is my psy and nutrition consult and follow up with my pul and gastro. Things are starting to move now that I'm on vacation and able to take any appointment these doctors are giving me.
