    Yep I am an EKG Tech and paramedic Who loves learning about the heart and cardiology stuff. You are very true I was talking to one of the cardiologist i work for and he told me about that, and thats one of the reason sleep apnea is so dangrous, not to mention you can stop breathing and go into cardiac arrest.. Sleep apnea is nothing something to mess around with, i just wish there was other ways to treat it, cause I cant STAND that mask hehe! I have try 3 different kinds i hate them all
  4. I have been trying to give up soda too, I have found cutting back has been helping me and I also take Excerin migraine (it has caffine in it) when I get a bad headache..

    Whats funny is I slept like a baby with my cpap at the sleep study and havent slept good with it since hehe! I took the meds that the doctor gave me last night, but still couldnt fall asleep with my mask on, and today i feel like a zombie :cursing:
  6. i cant get over spartans post.. If we all could just give up Drinking and eating bad stuff we wont need to have surgery... Please.. Go and have a drink.. You are allowed to cheat everyone once in a while, I know NO ONE who eats perfectly everyday for their WHOLE LIFE!

    Hey Ya'll!!

    I was a swimmer my whole life, but I was still chunky I got into lifting after high school so I have packed on muscle but i cant see it with all this fat hehe! I actually played football last year for an womens football team in PA, but I am not playing this year due to my surgery and my new work schedule. Talk about fun! I get to knock the heck out of people heheh

    Stopping to check up on how your sleep study went.. did they have to give you something to sleep? Like i told you before, i have Sleep apnea, and I have a CPAP but I will be truthful and say i dont use it, its has been so hard getting used to it,But i had an appt today with my doctor and she gave me something to help relax me to be able to fall asleep with the mask on, so will tell ya how it goes with the meds tomorrow maybe... Good luck hun, dont worry about this, if you get the lapband, it will help you get rid of this sleep apnea quickly

    Anyone told you that you snore? If you dont fall asleep for a set amount of time, most sleep labs give you a sleeping pill to help you fall asleep. I took my MP3 player with me too, it helped me relax and fall sleep.. Good luck!

    Hey Ash.... I am 26, I have really bad sleep apnea and have had 2 sleep study... I actually didnt find them that hard to do... I would take a little bit of a sleep melt before going in (its a otc sleep med) and once i was awake i slept like a baby.. I was worried about the wires too cause I am a resless sleeper but those wires really do stick well and they do a good job at taping them so you kinda forget they are there.. good luck!
  19. I finished my 6 month preop stuff and Got my date today!... Exactly 2 months from today.. March 12 :thumbup::smile2: They could do it as early as 3rd of Feb, but I am moving into an new apartment and really didnt want to be dealing with post-op and a new apartment so I picked the 12th that will give me 12 days to get settle into my apartment

    Hiya.. I am kinda new here and I was bored at work tonight (Xmas eve and hospitals dont normally mean busy hehe!) I read your whole blog..You are so impressive! Its great to see that you are still a human you make mistakes but you always got right back on the wagon!

    I was at walmart today and noticed Danskin (spelling?) has some too for like 30 bucks.. i am thinking about trying them... i have great calves, thighs and butt but it never hurts to help them out a little more heheh
  24. Hiya I am 26 years old... I have been drinking pop ( soda) since I can remember, My parents are big pop drinkers too so I was brought up around soda.. So I gave it about 10 days ago and had a terrible headache for 5 days, I broke down one day and had a coke.. Well i totally fell off the bandwagon this week and am back to like 2 sodas a day... I drink tons of Water, (before i gave it up and probably more when i gave it up) Any advice to how to make it easier?
