I bought a pair cause I work at a hospital and easily walk 5 miles a day.. they felt good at first but After the 2nd day I felt like they were rotating my ankles inward and they killed my feet.. I think i am going to practice wearing them again, but not all at once like i did at first..

Spring into March 2010 Bandsters
Liftingchic replied to NYSparklegirl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
My Surgery Date: March 12 My surgery is in: Pittsburgh, PA My doctor is: Doctor Urbandt. Insurance: PPO Blue Plus (Blue Cross) Seminar date: Never had one First Appt:July 27 (I believe) Insurance Required six month diet Met Surgeon: Every 2 months since July heheh Psych Evaluation: In Nov dont remember the date.. Tests I still need: EKG, Blood work Reason for banding: I am only 26, have been active my whole life (hints the username) but my food intake has always been my problem area and I never feel full.. I am always just feel hungery or Stuffed hehe. Plus I am Paramedic And Volunteer Firefighter, Hope to one day get a paid firefighter/medic job. Plus I have a strong family history of Heart issues and diabetes, Neither of which i want heheh. Concerns: I still I won't feel full, and that I may just be trying to go back to work so soon.. But I am not good for sitting around, I am afraid if i dont take weeks off a work , all i will think about is food.. ( I am only taking 1 1/2 weeks off work (medical field, some bending, no lifting patients at all) and 2 weeks off my Paramedic Job (this is the one i am most worried about cause I do have to lift patients but I do have a partner with me to help lift) BTW I am 5'10, Starting weight was 302, I am now around 275 but still trying to lose, Would love to be under 270 for the surgery. -

I dont like the game playing.. I like it to be about WEIGHT LOSS whats it supposed to be.. yeah the money is nice but I want people to to lose weight not gain in their bank accounts.. Plus if you are going to play the game at least admit to it and say you are waterlogging and shit like that...

How amazing... You are an inspiration! I always wanted to be a runner.. -
I am sorry but i think the red chick has a much worse attitude then the green team did.... How rude of her to basically kick the green team when they were already down and knew they were going home.. She showed her true colors tonight.. I am not joking she really is annoying me i cant wait to see her go home... What comes around always goes around, she will get hers...
-
I am very annoyed by the red team... I cant stand them... I think i might actually dislike them more then i did the brown team for a few seasons ago... (vicki)

I am one of those girls spying hehe! hope you dont mind me answering heheh I am big into lifting Hints the username, I think if you have been lifting for those 3+ plus months and your Protein intake is been up its very possible you gains 10+ lbs of muscle, 20 lbs would be scretching it in my opnion. 20% gain is awesome.. Good job.. I love lifting for that fact, you always gain and you get to feel like you are improving

6 month pre-op diet question
Liftingchic replied to AmberK's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I agree with the above post.. Mine was basically the same, they didnt required me to lose a certain amount of weight, but the 6months allows them to see how good you are going to be post band, if you can follow rules and suchs.. I made small changes throughout my 6 months and lost 20lbs. (i slowed down at the end cause i am close to a 40BMI) -
Welcome
-
let me tell yeah its very fun  heheh its free hehe

I am having it at West Penn with dr. Urbandt. I work for the west penn health system so if i stay in my network my surgery is basically covered 100%

Being converted to gastric bypass......
Liftingchic replied to ashleyb's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It doesnt seem like you are eating enough to me.. about how many calories do you think you are getting? Not eating enough can have the opposite effort, your body holds on to the fat cause it doesnt know when it will get enough calories next.. -
Thanks I have done alot of research and asked a million questions to Dr. Urbandt and Staff, they have been great so far.. I am scheduled for lapband on march 12 but I am still very unsure of my decision to do Lapband over Bypass..
