breast lift/implants before reaching goal?
Threeboys3 replied to CantB2noty's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was just going to suggest if you can't wait to do a breast implant rather than a lift. I had implants put in 6 years ago (pre gaining 100 pounds) and researched a ton. A lift was almost as much and the results still 'sagged' for lack of better a word. You'll need something more solid to hold em up! I'm hoping when I lose the weight my implants still hold up well, so far so good but I'm only down around 30 so far. -
how do you know if your obstructed
Threeboys3 replied to kenterben's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I started soft food that early. With no fills I doubt as long as you chew good you'll get anything stuck. I never got anything stuck until my band was tight, then you KNOW when it's obstructed believe you me. -
Sweet Spot/Hell Spot..Not really sure
Threeboys3 replied to suthern_gurl83's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is what I went through last week and I went back and they took only a small amount out and it made all the difference in the world. I'm not losing 8 pounds a week like I did the week before when it was too tight but I am still losing and I feel so much better. I'd go back and have the Dr.'s take a look. I know it's scary that you may not still lose but if they take some out, they can always put a little in at a time to get you to the proper 'sweet spot'. -
Just bought it...so excited!
Threeboys3 replied to 120inside's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I looked on Dick's sporting good store and didn't see them on the site at all. Are they only in the stores? I have one of the coupon books that I could use. -
Alright ladies is your behavior more...frisky ??

I still think I need about another 25 pounds until I get there... sigh... -
How many cc's do you have? How many fills so far?
Threeboys3 replied to tripletmomma2000's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have about 8cc in a 10cc band. I had 8 12cc in after 3 fills but went back for an unfill of 1/2 a cc. I still think I need just a tad more, it's amazing how much just a little makes a difference. -
How soon did you have sex post-op?
Threeboys3 replied to k-statearmywife's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I waited about 2 weeks, until my port area was completely healed. Listen to your body, if you feel fine enough than go for it. :w00t: -
How soon did you return to work?
Threeboys3 replied to 1SkinnyChick's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had surgery on Friday and went back to work on Tuesday, that Tuesday was tough but by Wednesday I was fine. I have a desk job so I just made sure I got up and walked around more than usual. -
I had my third fill two weeks ago I now have 8.5cc in a 10 inch band and the 21st will be 3 months since surgery. They were aggressive because I'm self pay and only have 3 months free fills and I was fine with that. The first week after the last fill I could eat almost anything but only a small portion. Although I managed to gain almost five pounds.... (damn halloween candy) Then all the sudden I can't eat anything without throwing it up. I've lost 8 pounds in the last week. I'm doing just Protein shakes and liquids now. I called to get in for a slight unfill but I'm scared it will take the restriction I need away. If it's too full why could I eat fine the first week and now not any more? Could it have slipped?

Ritz Crackers on Mushy Stage?
Threeboys3 replied to chatty826's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I ate those and saltine's with fat free butter spray during mushie stage. I thought they were god sent, it felt so good to actually chew something by then. -
Thanks everyone. I went to see the Dr. today and she took only a slit amount of fill out and OMG did it make all the difference in the world. I can now eat 1 cup and keep it down and best yet feel full! The band looked great she said so now I don't have to worry about that thank goodness.

cash patients-cost of fills?
Threeboys3 replied to BQT's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
3 months of free fills. She's aggressive too which I'm happy about because it's $250 a pop after that. -
cash again--approx cost?
Threeboys3 replied to BQT's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was self pay and paid 16,900 with only three months of follow up.. -
I was self pay and got charged for two nights at a hotel when I didn't need them. I had the surgery at noon and was at my Mother's by five and that's with a HH repair as well.

I'm so happy that I finally have some fill. It was pretty easy although I almost fainted. I layed down and she numbed me with spray then stuck the needle in. It looked pretty big but didn't hurt. The most that hurt was my port is still sore so poking around on that was a little uncomfortable. Then she had me stand up with the needle sticking out of me (this is the part I almost fainted at). She put 2cc's in and had me do a barrum swallow while we watched it on the x-ray thing. Then she put in another 2cc's and had me swallow more. She seemed happy with the results and so was I so far. On Clear liquids today and full liquids tomorrow then mushies for a day. I go back in 3 more weeks for another fill.

This morning at work I ate my normal, a hard boiled egg. By mid morning I was starving and craving pizza SO bad. I must have convinced myself and unconvinced myself ten times about getting it or not. I always rationalize in my head.. "well if I just get the 9" with cheese thin crust it it won't be too bad" or "I'll just have low fat Soup for dinner". Well I ate a sugar free Jello and that helped curb the hunger and 'pizza thoughts' some. I'm happy to announce that I just at my low fat high Protein chicken that I brought in for lunch. For me it's not one day at a time, I have to fight this one meal at a time. I had never realized how 'out of hand' I had gotten with my eating habits. Please tell me the cravings get easier to 'beat'? I haven't had a fill yet, I'm praying that will help.

I made stuffed mushrooms with laughing cow garlic and herb cheese. YUM

What's wrong with Spagetti'O's (if you were replying to me because I've posted that I eat them). They are low in fat (1gram) and have Protein. I'm not on a low carb diet. I'll suck them down as long as my Dr. says it's ok. As far as fast food, I agree with melmarlem post regarding fast food. I have five kids at home and work full time, sometimes as much as I 'plan ahead' one of the kids games into overtime, I get stuck at work, etc. It's unavoidable and I'm just trying to learn what's the best option at a fast food place. I have a book I carry in the car that is called Stop & Go a fast food nutrition guide that helps me understand what I should eat (green light), what I should eat cautionly (yellow light) and what I should never eat(red light) at many FF restaurants. We are ALL in different situations and I wouldn't be quick to judge anyone here. We are all on this journey and trying to be here for one another.

Back to work - How Quick
Threeboys3 replied to Barley's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh yeah! I did just have a baby five months ago so I guess I didn't take too much offense to it. And hey, I DID look pregnant with the swelling. Oh and I'm still wearing my maternity shirts so that doesn't help... :frown: -
I've found it depends on the type of skin you have. I've tried just about EVERYTHING throughout the years. Since your skin is probably more dry now try to find something that won't dry you out to the extreme, that will just cause more irritation, thus more breakouts. I use Avon's clearskin professional kit now.

I just bought the Muscle Milke Light and it has 25g of protein in a serving. I got the powered kind at GNC.

Back to work - How Quick
Threeboys3 replied to Barley's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
OH and as a side note I did not tell my co-workers or boss and I was walking around so slow when I came back and had such a swollen belly that one male co-worker said, "hey, do you have another bun in the oven? Your walking kind of weird." :frown: -
Back to work - How Quick
Threeboys3 replied to Barley's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had mine done on Friday afternoon on Aug. 21st and worked ten hours on Tuesday Aug. 25th... I work in HR so I have a sit down job but my office is on the 26th floor, there are stairs everywhere (parking garage, lobby, etc.). I'm not going to say it was fun going back that early but I had to because of my work schedule and it was doable. If you have more time, then I'd take it but really Tuesday was my only 'omg I don't know if I'll make it through the day' type of day. Every day got easier. I made sure to go to bed early and rest as soon as I got home. -
I picked up my 49 pound daughter today. :(
Threeboys3 replied to should_be_working's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hopefully everything will be fine. I have 20 month old twin girls that have lived with DH and I since they were born and it tears me apart that they keep walking up to me saying. "up TT, up TT" (They call me TT). They weight over 20 pounds a piece and I just can't yet. It's so tempting though. My five month old just barely meets the cutoff my Dr. gave me of 15 pounds. He's almost 15 but not quite there so I do carry him around. Who can not NOT pick up their new baby???
