Hey Jldchester, Congratulation on your 6 pounds!! Things are going a little slow for me...(bad eating habits ) I will getting another fill next week. I heard from another thread that on a 14cc band the average person hits the sweet spot at 11 to 11.5cc. What do you think? -

I feel real good, but still I have control myself at the dinner table. I will getting another fill next week. I hope I will hit the sweet spot at 11 cc. -
New here, anyone have bmi too high for surgery?
vikki99 replied to good2u's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
DaChanginQueen, I so agree with you. Slow and steady wins the race. I was 409.81 when I had the surgery. Now I am at 355 !! With the band, it is all about lifestyle change. Unlike with the bypass, I still can have my carbs (from time to time) and don't get sick . :tt2: -
1 Year Out- Still Loosing Hair
vikki99 replied to KimberleyTX's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Take Biotion supplement. Biotin is a major component in the natural hair manufacturing process -- it is essential to not only grow new hair, but it also plays a major role in the overall health of skin and nails. You can find it at any store like Walmart, CVS, Walgreen etc. Google it!! -

I can understand, how you feel. Do you write down what you eat? That is the only way I can tell, if I need another fill or not. I also take my food journal to my fill doctor to double check. -

Update: I started walking 2 miles (add alittle jogging) and lower my calories to 1300. And guess what I lost 2 pounds!!!:scared2: I guess the whole idea of lowering my calories to 1300 scared me , but thanks to the lapband it was a smooth transition for me. I still want to get the BodyBugg but I am saving up for some New Balance 1123 shoes $$.

Right now I have hit a big plateau at 366 -365lbs for the past 3 weeks. At 6'1, most of my weight is in the mid section..ugh!! My job is stationary from 9-6pm. In the afternoons, I am walking one mile plus weight training, three times a week. I know that I am building muscle, but should I cut out the weight training and focus only on cardio?? Also my calorie intake average is around 1700-1800. My protein levels are good (80-90 grams). I am STILL trying to lower my carbohydrate intake to at least 70 grams per day. My doctor also suggested that I should lower my calorie intake to 1300-1400. Do you think it is too low for right now?

Hey I just want to start a fun topic tonight. I read from bella71's blog-MY HAPPY PLACE, that she is able to become her own workout cheerleader. Do you see yourself as a workout cheerleader?? If so, what do you say to yourself?

Hey any update with your doctor? -
When I have a craving,I have a major problem of overeating. I want to get over the idea of having a “Clean plate”! What do you do if you have a “small” taste for something (candy, cake, etc.), but you can only buy it in a large amount?? Do you NOT buy it at all? Do you eat your portion and give the rest away or throw it away?

Thanks you everyone your suggestions! The Craving Monster is trying to get the best of me

This will my second time starting that couch to 5k program. I would be happy to complete week one without cheating. -
Thanks Bambam31, Jachut, and IAmJacksLapBand for your suggestions. Whew!! Since high school, exercising has always been a big battle with me. I pray I will start to feel the same "satisfaction" that I hear from my current active friends. With my next workout, I am going to focus on increasing my cardio by starting the Couch to 5k program along with using the elliptical machine.
