Hi everyone, I am having my band placed Aug. 28th. I am planning on three days off work to recover is this enough time? I just sit at a desk and dont do any bending or lifting.

Today is my 1st day of the pre surgery diet. I have a splitting headache, and cannot take any asprin, or motrin. I wish I wish I could have something filling. I feel like an addict!

Tim, I start my pre op liquid diet in the morning for my band on aug 28th. I know its going to be hard. Tell your doctor, its important he knows, and I am sure he will understand

Hi WClay, I have to start the liquid diet Tuesday and I am not looking forward to it! I will be using Dr. Curry in Cincinnati Ohio. I am really excited because I was approved one day after meeting with the doctor. I have been researching this for over a year and really expected a 3-6 month process. I am a nurse so I know what to expect with this surgery. Keep in touch pjk -
I went for my consultation and they called me the next day I was approved!! I get my band in two weeks ( Aug 28th) Wish me luck!

I had my first visit yesterday with Dr Curry in Cincinnati. No psy eval, but he wants to do an egd. I would have rather seen a shrink. Anyway now I have to wait for the insurance to ok all this before I can set my surgery date. I have a feeling this wait will take forever:rolleyes:

I am new to this and from Cincinnati. I had my first appointment today with Dr Curry for a lapband. Now the process begins. I didn't know Jewish did bands. Good Luck
