pray for success

I have been struggling with my weight since 2002. I have tried every thing under the sun to get the weight off!! Most diet plans have been unsuccessful and/or a little successful. The money I have put into the numerous diet plans doesnt amout to the poor results or the pain I felt gaining all the weight back plus some... and with that said that's why I have decided to try the lap band system.  Before (2001) I never had a weight problem. It's so hard when your constantly being judged for being over weight, especially by your family and friend whom might be use to you looking a certain way and never understand that gaining the weight is not always based on your eating habbits and its more like a disease. Some people do all the right things and still cant loose weight, mainly because of a metabolism issue. I am so nervous, just because the word "death" is listed as one of the risk, but I have thought about it and came up with two options..... I can either not get the surgery done and live with the conditions of being over weight such as: diabetes, high blood pressure and a possible heart attack later in life...which all the above will cause death later in life anyway or take my chances and make a better life for myself one that will allow me to do things with my child and my husband.......so that is my story and tomorrow is my big day!!!
