polkie1, Hi and welcome! Yes I am nervous, but also very excited for Tuesday to come! I have been on my pre-op diet for 9 days now and have lost 11 lbs. It was very difficult the first 3 days, but after that it became easier. I am so determined to be banded and change my food behavior...I think that is the key. Do you have to do a pre-op diet? Some surgeons don't require it.

Hi, New to this, but have my surgery scheduled for August 4th. I am extremely nervous. I went to a support group on Wednesday night and they brought up a woman who had her band slip twice. The second time it slipped, it had to be removed. I know the pros of the this surgery outweigh the cons and I have a lot of research into it. If I hadn't I wouldn't even be this far in the journey. I would love to hear from others how they felt pre-op. I have never had surgery...unless you count getting my wisdom teeth out...
