newbie! wow - it's nice to know i am not a freak! ii will start my christmas shopping by labor day and will be done by halloween. you girls put me to shame! my friends think i am nuts! my goal is 60lbs lost by newyears. it may be a little aggressive so we'll see! i just love the fall season in general! my husband is a Halloween freak so our house looks like a horror movie then i take over and christmas lasts till the first weekend in Jan. longer if he doesn't bitch too much! thanks for the thread!

WOW! us july bandsters are doin' great! Congrats, coach! i am so proud of you! Karik - you (& your hubby) have the right attitude and that's how we have to approach this, as a tool. We didn't get this way overnite and it won't change overnite so keep on pluggin away. charlie horse - your girlfriend has it right, let's make the best of what we can eat! we might as well enjoy what we take it or we'll never be satisfied and make poor choices! (god, i feel like a frickin cheerleader - you know the one's i used to want to sit on! ugh!)

i love celecrity fit club! i've watched all of them but missed tht last 2-3 of the last season. my husband loves bbw's and drooled over Kelly, Tina, Carne and Erika. god bless Carne for struggling publicly, this isn't a decision to take lighlty and it's a lifelong struggle so i hope all of them (and us!) succeed! there's the one thing i worry about, losing too much wt. i don't want to be 2 boobs on legs:)

wow! banded on 7/25 and would kill for chewable food. i am on liquids for 2 more weeks (8/23) and can't wait. i'm trying not to weigh myself so no idea on how much i have lost but i do know the seats at the movietheater were bigger! i am struggling with the words because pizza is on 23 x's! you'll getthem today!

good to hear from you hedwig. it amazes me how long it takes to rule out things when diagnosing patients. keep us posted. us "bandeds" stick together! p.s. i think in addition to dinner and a movie, some sort of jewelry may be warranted!

I'm still off work have took an extra week as I'm finding it difficult to wear clothes especially a bra, anyone else having this problem? indianlight - i understand, don't wear underwires it hurts like hell. 2 of my incisions are near my braline. i have big boobs and they are healing slower, i think cuz the girls cover them when i am not wearing a bra.

OMG! i have the breath of a dead goat! what is going on? am 11 days post op and on liquids for 4 weeks. am slowly getting to my requirements of 64+ oz of liquids and 60-80g of protein daily (at about 50-55) and i am feeling pretty good. my problem is my breath is :speechles HORRIBLE! is it the protein drinks, the fact that i don; chew anything but my daily vitamin? i have no idea! i brush, floss, everything i used to do....:help:

i did call the day i was so sick and angi told menot to worry about it. i am concerned and i will call again mon if still goin on.

Hi all! congrats, rainbow! you'll do great! chrispy gal, i agree, the psych they use is a little weird. i was thinking about going back 1 time but who knows...maybe i'll find someone new. i missed my first post op group, it was wed the 2nd and there was a bosox game, traffic sucks then! i hope to get to meet some of you there! so far, so good. tues i was a mess! bloated, sick to my tummy, weak and bleeding. it took Angi all day to get back to me but i felt great the next day! i was just on the scar pix thread...my incisions look very different, when did your steristrips fall off? mine are caked with blood and i would love to wash them off. i am also oozing a bit from 1 incision. should i have Dr.Jones check it out? betterme - how much are you down so far? it sounds like you are doing great! keep in touch all! bending down sucks and it's 10 days post sx! i make my hsband feed the cats, load the bottom shelf of the dishwasher, pick up things i've dropped. part of that is pain (mine and me being a pain in HIS butt) part is that one of my incisions bleeds periodically. i can ben easier if i am sitting,it's not so far.

hi,vinesqueen! i havent been a 16 for at least 15 years so i'm jealous. but...my program has a post-op support group that encourages people to bring in their clothes as they "ungrow" them. could you talk to someone at your clinic to see if they do something like that. good luck!

i dont think it's a guy movie, rather get a few of your girlfriends together, go see it and chat it up over dinner and drinks afterward! even my 74 yr old mom loved it!

Congrats, coach! it amazes me how different our diets are right after sx. i am on a liquid diet, broths, blended soups, jello, pudding, protein drinks, etc. for 4 weeks then i go on a puree, ground diet. 1 wk down, 3 to go for liquids, but god, i want pizza!

good luck, chrispygal! let me know about your psych visit, mine was very short and mostly involved her speaking very forcefully (almost berating) about how serious a decision it was, well, no shit! i expected some ?'s exploring feelings, etc. keep me posted!

i live in wakefield, north of boston. i hate going into boston, too. ma drivers in general are insane. i'm on liquids, have been since sx. will be on them til my 1st appt, aug 23 so far it really hasn't bothered me much. except sun, my husband decided he needed to watch food network all day, i would have paid big bucks for a piece of pizza!

no pix - but i drive...deep breath...a chevy suburban... it wasn't MY idea) my husband got a jones for this damn car but when gas prices started to rise, i got the car cuz it's only 5 miles to where i work. now i drive The Beast. all my friends call it The Beast, my mom calls it The Beast even my husband now calls it The Beast. The Beast costs between $80-135 to fill up. Pray for me....
