Pre op diet...I cheated, well just a little...
LILYTAM posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So I have been on a really strick diet for the past 4 or 5 months and I have done really well. I quit drinking soda, stopped eating sweets and snack foods like chips and fried food and I eat much smaller portions. I have lost like 40 lbs. I was excited when I got my surgery date which is Oct the 2nd and I started my pre op diet of protein shakes twice a day and 4 oz of protein and veggies for dinner. I dont get it, I did so well dieting for all this time and now that I "have" to diet I slipped up already. I had a little bit of sourdough with my dinner the other night and I had about two cups of popcorn while watching a movie with my daughter. I cant believe I have already "cheated"! I have been on the pre op diet since the 17th and I have only lost 2 lbs! Could this really be because of having a little bit of bread and some popcorn? Have I totally messed up? I read on the boards how people loose significant amounts of weight while on the pre op diet... how come i'm not? I have one more week until surgery so I will stick to the diet and see how much more I can loose. Do you think because I have already been dieting I am not loosing as much as others on the diet? Im kinda concerned. -
Band date October 1, 2009
LILYTAM replied to heyred1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
yeaaa! good for you! My surgery date is on Oct 2nd and i am really excited to start my new journey. good luck to you! -
Hello, I wanted to see what brand of protein powder would you guys recommend? The truth is, I have never tried any yet but I hear that a lot of them taste really bad and are hard to keep down. Is it hard to keep down because of the taste or the amount of protein? Sorry for being so naive, Im new at this

Hello, I do not have fibromyalgia but I was recently, in May, diagnosed with MS. I was the same way, I knew nothing about the disease and researched it like mad and cried and learned that I had been suffering from it a lot longer than I had known. What made it even tougher for me was my husband leaving me only months earlier, which caused stress and lead to my episodes. I feel like I have to face it on my own. Actually the main reason I have decided to get the band is because I was diagnosed and I think it will help with the episodes in the future. Good luck to you and I am sorry for your diagnosis. You have to stay as positive as possible and find support in your friends and family. Best wishes to you :blushing:

How Do I Remove Tickers & Text From My Signiture?
LILYTAM replied to vayiayia's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
Hi, How do you add a ticker? I want to put one in my posts but dont know how???? Thanks in advance:thumbup: -
I dont want to invest a lot in protein powder before surgery but I want it to taste decent. How is the Body Fortress from Walmart? Its only $15 so I am thinking about getting some to try... I keep hearing about the Unjury, I checked out their website and they have samples...hmmm...Ill have to try that brand also.

Hi, I was recently diagnosed (may 09) with MS. This is the main reason why I have decided to get the band. I will not only be healthier but loosing the xtra weight will help with the heat intolerance, horrible fatigue and help out with mobility if it ever gets really bad for me. I was wondering if any of you bandsters out there also suffer from MS. How has the band helped you with the disease? If you havent had surgery yet, did you decide because of the disease? Thank you,
-
I am sorry for your diagnosis, i hope you dont get MS it can be a really terrible disease. I struggle with it everyday. I really hope getting the band will help me on my path to being a healthier person. I feel like loosing the extra weight will be a benefit and help with my MS symptoms. I wish you luck on everything and you will be on my mind  please let me know how things turn out for you.
