I don't see why not, because fruit is a good carb and I use to do that when I was on a low carb diet. Go for it.

That is what I thought as well. After surgery I did 1 week of liquids and then he had me do mushies for 2 weeks and then I was on regular food, but he seems a little more conservative about post-fills. The good thing is so far so good. I'm ok with the liquids, they keep me satisfied. I had the best protein shake this morning. It was 1 scoop of muscle milk chocalate, 1 scoop vanilla EAS protein, ice, 2 cups milk, and 1 tbs of peanut butter for a total of 620 calories and 62 g protein and I had half of it this morning and I will have the rest for lunch. It was delicious. Then tonight I will have a soup cup. I hope your fill goes well. Let us know how much you get. Take care.

Yeah, they did it with x-ray. They saw the stenosis on x-ray they said that it was probably scar tissue and that it is normal.

They did the fill under fluoro so they saw the stenosis on the x-ray. Not a big deal. No, I love my doc. He's great.

Well I had my first fill today. I have 2.7 cc's in my band now. They also said that I had a little stenosis at the stoma which causes a little of a natural band. He said it's like I have two bands and that I probably will not need as many fills as some, so that's cool. Just when I had started on real foods now I'm stuck on liquids again for a week, then soft foods for 7 days and then I can have real food again, Oh well it will fly by. The needle was not bad at all. I thought it would be worse, but I almost didn't even feel it. I am also drinking fine, so that is good. Well hope everyone is fine. Will check in later.:tongue2:

Hello everyone. Today is my baby's birthday. He is 7. We bought him a birthday cake tomorrow. That is going to be so hard for me because although I am not a sweets person an occasional piece of birthday cake is good and plus it's for his birthday. Oh well! I'll survive.

  18. sphi96, You have to remember we all carry our weight differently. She still could have been considered obese, so we all have our reasons. LOL

Have you been exercising? Maybe try the liquid diet that most of us had to do which encorporates high protein low carb like atkins. Protein shakes and broth and SF jello. Stuff like that. Exercise is important now and especially after. Good luck.:scared2:

OK so at my post-op appt the doctor said I could move on to regular foods and I have been doing good, until tonight. I was eating some chicken that I had boiled so it was nice and tender, I also had bell pepper and onions in it. Well i guess I was not eating slow enough but I had a pepper and it got stuck and let me tell you that is the worst feeling. TMI but they are not lying about the foam that comes back up. It was nasty so after about 5-10 minutes it finally passed and I was able to finish my meal. Let's just say I really focused on chewing and eating more slowly. Moral of the story, we may not have restriction but things will still get stuck, so chew, chew, chew and eat slowly. Take care guys and remember me at your next meal so you will head my warning. Bye guys. Til tomorrow.
