Well, somehow I got pregnant. Before anyone starts with the birds and bees lesson, I GOT that part, thanks! LOL! I got pregnant while on birth control. I took the pills every day at the same time, didn't take any antibiotics, etc. Everything was by the book, but somehow, I'm pregnant. Needless to say, hubby and I are in major shock. We didn't plan on any more children. Anyway, I got the surprise of my life last week. My OB said that it's a one in two thousand chance of it happening. Those are some pretty insane odds!!!! I'm taking it as a blessing and that, for some reason, we were meant to have another child. However, I'm still in shock! LOL! BTW, is it normal for me to be scared to death to gain any weight? I'm so nervous about not being able to fit into my clothes.
-
OB said everything should be fine as long as baby is getting proper nutrition. If it gets too tight I'll have to get an unfill.
-
Thanks everyone. I was taking Loestrin24. :confused2:

Amen to that! I'm proud to say that I've never voted for a Bush. Whomever wins the presidency in this next election really has their hands full. I can't imagine things will get better for quite a bit of time. It took 8 years to do the damage. It won't get cleaned up overnight.

That's great. We have the "panic" mentality when it comes to gaining weight now. Good to know you can get to losing again ASAP.
-
It's okay now Alex. Did you do something?

Okay so tickerfactory said I had to update my ticker. (apparently it doesn't matter that my weight hasn't changed in months. Grrrr!) I've done it a million times already and for some reason this time I screwed something up. Now in my signature a I have a link to an image that I can't get rid of! I've tried everything I can think of to delete it! Help please!? (See it right under my ticker)
-
That's the problem. It's not showing any code for whatever that is. The only code is from the ticker that have.
-
Sure. I'm at a complete loss.

You have to be aware of why you're pbing. If you're not chewing properly or taking to large of bites or maybe eating something that's too dry or chewy; you may need to make changes. If you're doing all of those things right, then you may be too tight. I need a fill desperately right now but I still occasionally pb if I eat too fast and don't chew well. I obviously don't need an unfill. I need to concentrate on my eating.

I've always just wanted to go for it and get a cute little pixie cut. Never had the nerve, not to mention I'm sure hubby would hate it. Maybe a layered shaggy cut with some lowlights would look nice. You have to do what you're comfortable with.

I try and stay away as well. Imagine all of the food you could have eaten with all those calories and fat!

Would you get breast implant.....??

Oh I totally love Victoria's Secret. They're really good at helping to find the perfect bra. I explained to them that I lost a lot of weight and that my boobs are a bit droopy. I need a bra that lifts but not so much that I fall out the top. I tried on several styles that they suggested and one was absolutely perfect. I love it! It's so comfortable and gives me a natural shape. I would have never been able to figure out what style to pick without them. My only complaint is that the bra's are $55!!! I can't believe I spend that much on something only me and my husband see! -
Speaking about shoes, I had all of these beautiful shoes that were a size nine. All name brands, gorgeous heels and boots. After I had my son and gained a lot of weight my foot grew to a 9 1/2 wide. I gave all of them away. Now I'm back to a size 9 again and really wish I still had all of those shoes!!! I guess I'll have to start my collection all over again.

You do need to feed the baby. I'd agree that you should call the doc. -
I'm doing this for accountability...really no need to read

I can relate. I was beating myself up last night for how much I ate yesterday. -
I think it becomes more important after surgery and possibly after fills, when you really can't take large sips. It's not something you need to actually worry about though.

I only had one once and I think it was caused by an indoor pool! When my husband and I were dating, we spent a weekend at one of those cheesy resorts with the champagne glass hot tubs and heart shaped beds. Well, we got busy in the indoor pool in the room and I ended up coming home with a nasty yeast infection. Ick, to think about how many other people got busy in that pool! Ewwwww!

I have been on the pill since I was 16 (aside from my pregnancy) I was looking into it and talked to my OBGYN about it. He didn't recommend it because it takes months before it can be regulated and often times you still spot and get all of the pms symptoms monthly anyway. I decided that it just didn't make sense for me.

So, I just got back from the hospital: A Lesson

Another lesson learned. Now...stay away from beer and bread! -
I think that's awesome! I can certainly feel happier and stress doesn't seem to get to me as easily but I assumed it's because I'm no longer afraid of mirrors...and cameras...and bathing suits! Great info..Thanks!

You know, the media doesn't want the band to be successful. They wouldn't have anything to write about. There wouldn't be anymore "great diets" out there. People would stop spending insane amounts of money for supplements and meal replacements. Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers and the rest of them would go broke! Everyone would find out that all of those so called "diets" are a scam. Millions of dollars would be lost! (How's that for a conspiracy? LOL!)
-
I wore a sports bra for a few days too. I also wore a comfortable yoga type pants for a few days. Panties weren't a problem as the incisions were above it anyway.
-
True, but you tend to have less with the band because it's a slower weight loss process and the skin gets a chance to tighten up a bit. Good for you! Bet it felt great!

I was always bigger on the bottom and my saggy skin is mostly in my thighs. It's fine in jeans, capris and longer skirts.....won't catch me in a mini skirt any time soon though.
