Bad pickles!!! LOL!!! I retain water pretty easily so I really need to watch the sodium as well. Oh, and I can't eat chicken at all...in no way, shape or form. My husband always jokes..."save a chicken, get a lapband!" LOL!

Good for you Steph!!!

I think a lot of us touched in depression right after surgery. You just agreed and accepted a "life-changing" surgery. I felt like I was in mourning for the life I once had, but once I starting losing and feeling the change in my body and energy levels...it was more of a "good riddance!!" Hang in there, you'll feel better soon. Wheetsin's right, find some things to do to pass the time until you start feeling better.

A little V-Day fun, Pet Names!

LOL!! Sissy! I call my hubby "big daddy" too!! He's 16 years older than me so it's more of a joke about our age difference. I also call him IKE...an acronym for I Know Everything! -
Happy2BMe, you're doing great. Don't be so hard on yourself! It takes a while to hit the "sweet spot" so don't get discouraged. Up until this last fill, mine would always be gone in less than a month also. This one seems to be doing the trick. I'm sure you'll find it soon.
-
Bug, first try something a little less rich. Stick with things less "clingy" like applesauce for a day and see what happens. If not, go for a slight unfill.
-
That's awesome waterlily!!! You're kickin' arse!!!:clap2:

Confessions?? Okay, here's mine. My friend sent me candy from Australia. Violet Crumbles...yum!!! I break a piece off every night (about an inch or so long) and have it with a cup of tea. I'm still losing so I suppose that little treat isn't so bad.

I'm up for the next challenge!! Although we're going out tomorrow night for Valentine's Day. There was an ice storm here and hubby doesn't want to driive tonight. So, I need one more day of "freedom" before I get in gear again!!!
-
I've had issues with this on and off since banding as well. I'm gonna try the Benefiber. I also have an herbal tea that "helps you go" It's from LA weightloss..(one of my failed diets) but I'm sure you can get something similar at a health food store.
-
Silly thread.....but are your food bills less?

Me too. It costs more to eat healthy! -
It's going to be a challenge for all of us. My nutritionist/ therapist said that she thought this was going to be the most difficult challenge for me because I am such an emotional eater. She suggested I find an alternative to eating when dealing with stress or anxiety. I'm a huge music fan, so she suggested I take some time alone and blast my ipod. I may lose my hearing...LOL! but I'm not eating!!!

And losing almost 20 pounds on this challenge is awesome!! I'm up for the next challenge. It's just in time for my future sister-in-law's bridal shower. It'll be the first time I'm seeing a lot of my family since I had the surgery.

I always wanted to know what a stone was. Thanks! And congrats on your NSV!
-
Faybie, thanks for posting that. We need to realize its not all about the pounds.
-
That's the same reason I didn't want to tell anyone. I didn't want to feel like a lap band poster child. Unfortunately my husband and parents couldn't keep their mouths shut. Eh, you just roll with it. We know what it's all about. That's what matters.
-
Koala.. Congrats..your weight loss is incredible. My 6 month is on the 15th. It really has been a blessing.
-
Josette, Hang in there and by all means don't stay away from us. We're all here to support one another, it's not a competition. As for your friend on optifast, remember that you lost your weight for good!!!! Jamie, you look awesome!!! I'd love to post some before and during pics, however, I completely avoided the camera when I'm at my heaviest. So, I'm gonna have a hard time finding before pics.
-
A tax day challenge sounds good to me...as least we'll have two months to work with. Waterlily...it's not about the pounds as much as how you get there. You make us all proud!!! I'm gonna try and give up my snacking...I've noticed I'm doing that more than I used to.
-
Yeah, I'd say call for a slight unfill as well. If you can't get liquids down, you're at risk for dehydration. I've been there...won't be doing that again. Like wheetsin said, you can always add more later.
-
I'd have to agree. Maybe if you were severely coughing shortly after surgery before the stitched healed...aside from that, I can't imagine that happening.
-
I want to feel better in terms of physical and mental health...but what really kicked my butt in gear was my little boy. So I guess he's really my motivation.
