    Congrat Lizrbit! Welcome to twoterville!!!! I'm with waterlily..pasta just doesn't work for me anymore! That's been the hardest for me to give up too. I still try once in a while and end up paying the price. I guess I'll never learn!

Clarityseeker, so glad things are going well. Glad you checked in. Life certainly does get in the way, I know the feeling. Now how many of us have had to have an unfill now? I did a few months ago, Steph, Serendipity....

    As has been said before, the band is only a tool. Emotional eating, which I do as well, is something you need to deal with. It looks like you're taking the proper steps though, so good luck to you.

    Everyone's doing great! Ridin' relax, you're doing well. I didn't lose a thing last week at all. Lapbandit...166 pounds...you're definitely not doing anything wrong! I can't eat any form of bread, rice or pasta...period. But we're all different. If I was loose enough to be able to eat those things, I wouldn't lose. So, as much as I love those foods, I like losing weight more.

I'd love to have peanut butter on an english muffin. YUM! But I can't swallow english muffins!

    Jamie...I've given up on breakfast and I usually eat a pretty soft lunch. Usually by dinner I'm fine. Protein shakes...protein powder, yogurt, fresh fruit...are a great breakfast. You get used to it. By the way....isn't it March? Shouldn't we have a new thread? LOL!

    OMG, I can totally relate. Last week, I didn't lose a thing! Grrrr! And I was good all weekend but today I screwed up and ate macaroni and cheese! We bought a new house and we were over there working on it (painting, installing light fixtures, etc.) and I picked up lunch for everyone. I had turkey chili. I wouldn't go down. So I caved and ate the rest of my 3 year old's macaroni and cheese! ***oh it was soooooo good too!*** I hope that doesn't start off the new week badly for me.
  12. I have days where nothing but chocolate and chips go down too. Then other days, I'm fine. Glad to see you're getting an unfill. You know that can't be healthy!

    Glad you decided to join the challenge Josette!!! Let's not stress over "past indescretions". We'll take this one day at a time. BTW, I've had "Denny's" issues. I can't find anything there that I can eat. The salads all have chicken, which I can't get down.

    Hmmm, my experience was exactly the opposite. Everyone I asked pre-band loved it while those with RNY complained with complications. I guess it depends on who you talk to.

    Molly, You're entitled to a Pringle binge every now and then...as long as you pick yourself back up again. For the record, I was a good girl today so hopefully it will pay off in the morning.

    Would you do it again?

    Oh hell yeah!!!! LOL!!! As challenging as this gets at times..it's the best thing I've ever done for myself. I feel so much healthier and full of energy. I know now that I will be here for my son and do all the things a mom is supposed to do. No doubt, the best decision I've ever made!

    I've been adding the benefiber too. Also, if I don't "go" for a couple days...I drink this tea I got when I was on LA weightloss. It's called "Nature's Reply" I need to check the ingredients because I'm sure there is something similar in health food stores. It really helps.

    Great job everyone!! I didn't weigh myself yesterday because I had a huge...er, grande...margarita sunday night and I thought it would do some damage..so I'm hoping today I'll be back to my old self...or maybe a little less!

    Guys...don't be so hard on yourselves. We're all gonna have times where we'll fall back into old habits. That's what we're here for...support. Don't worry about the numbers and who's lost how much. Now for the kick in the pants you all need..... GET YOUR BUTTS IN GEAR AND START EATING HEALTHY!!!!! On a side note....I'm half way there....whoa!!! I'm halfway there!! whoa! Livin' on a prayer!!! ...a little Bon Jovi to celebrate!! heh heh!

    Body Image

    I think we all are going to deal with these issues once the weight comes off. We've used our weight as a crutch for so long. My husband has already started to say that I "act differently" and sometimes has ever referred to me as "vain" because he catches me looking in the mirror. I really don't see myself as vain, although for the first time in my life...I don't hide from mirrors or cameras. I finally have some confidence and I guess that's something my husband hasn't seen before...but it's something he's gonna have to accept because I feel good about myself and I'm not going to hide that! I keep reminding myself that not only are we losing weight, but we're really changing our lives...we need to be prepared for that.
