I'm looking forward to the bathing suit shopping...sort of! I'll be thrilled with the idea of a smaller size but with a bathing suit there will be more out there to jiggle, which seems to be my problem now that I've lost! LOL!
-
I'm the opposite of you Tann. I'm exercising 5 days a week but not eating right. When I'm stressed I just turn to food. So I pop and oreo in my mouth without even thinking about it! I'm going for a fill on Friday, hoping it will help. Lapbandit, you're the best! We all know you'll get right back on track! Elisabeth...I have major cravings! I try and find the healthy alternative to what I'm craving. Hasn't been working lately though. LOL! Josette, congrats on the NSV girl! Doesn't it feel great to wear something in the "normal-sized" category?

Congrats on the scale moving losingjusme! I round either up or down...makes it easier. LOL!! Molly, hope the fast works for you!
-
Ladydi, Hope all is well with you! Sounds like an interesting experience!
-
Oh me too! Sometimes the noises are pretty loud too! I also get a gurgling in my throat sometimes.
-
I think it depends on the individual. If the person is willing to do what it takes to get well, therapy can be helpful.
-
Boston Market is good and a lot healthier than typical fast food for the family. Honestly, after a few days I was fine cooking.
-
Well, I haven't lost anything this week...darn it, darn it, darn it!!!
-
Yeah...I thought that I was at the wrong place too!! LOL!!! Well, at least the constant changes make things more exciting.
-
I really think a psychologist would help. We all have eating disorders, in a sense and just because we had surgery doesn't mean our mind and thoughts will follow.
-
Same here! I've been concentrating more on Family stuff and not much on my weight loss. Thankfully, I haven't gained either. I've decided to get back to work also. I figured my son is three years old, it's time.
-
Welcome Faith!!! great group here, you'll love it! Why on earth did you have to say Ben & Jerry's Molly!!! LMAO! I immediately went through a mental list of my favorite flavors...Chunky Monkey, New York Superfudge Chunk, Cherry Garcia, Phish Food...LOL! Somebody stop me! LOL! BTW, I can totally relate to the DH's ex situation...we have a loon to deal with as well. Vent all you need.
-
Hang in there Josette. I can only imagine how it feels to lose your mom. Just know that she's so proud of you and what you've accomplished so far. I'm having some personal...(marital) issues right now and I haven't been really able to focus. I've been turning to my old habits of munching on junk to relieve stress. I want to schedule a fill so it won't be so easy for me to binge. BTW, I've tried and I've tried...and exercise does NOT relieve stress like chocolate does! LOL!!!
-
You're probably right Molly...I'm just a little anxious. I still think a need a little fill though. I"m going through a stressful time right now and it's a little too easy to return to my "binge" habit. I'd like to be on the looser side of tight...whatever that means...LOL!
-
My surgeon didn't require a pre-op diet, so I used the time to say goodbye to some of my favorites! LOL!
-
Congrats!!! A size ten sounds like a great place to be!
-
Molly, you and I seem to be in the same boat. I think I need a fill. I haven't had one since January. I'm eating healthy snacks but I think I'm eating too much. I need to step up my exercise too. The last couple of weeks I've cut it down to 3 times a week instead of 6. I'm so angry at myself for not taking measurements though! That could be such a motivator when the scales aren't moving!
-
Great post! It's hard to not want to compare but we all handle this band differently!
-
Molly! How cool is it that you're the lapband poster child! LOL!! Good for you! You should be so proud! Thanks for the kind words guys. I'd love to burn that first pic but I'm keeping it as a reminder of somewhere I never want to be again! You're all so supportive and I don't think I'd be nearly as motivated without all of you. I'm so glad we can be here for one another!

Before and After Lap Band Surgery - PICTURES ONLY
libra replied to DeLarla's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I was going to wait until I made it to 100 pounds lost to post pics, but close enough! LOL!! The first one was one week after surgery. I was at 309 at the time, down ten pounds post surgery. The others are from the last two weekends, down 90 pounds. I was at 229 at the time. (At least I'm not afraid of cameras anymore! ) -
Well, I said I'd post pics.... The first one is one week after surgery. (Note my excitement about having my pic taken. I can't stand to look at it.) The other two are from the last two weekends. (a bridal shower and a baby shower.) Down 90 pounds at the time.

1. Absolutely! Even on the pill, I'm now getting my period twice a month. My gynecologist said it should level off as my weight levels off. As has been said, its due to the homone stores. 2. Yes, but I think that it's more psychological than physical...I feel better about myself.
-
Phew Molly! Sounds like fun!! I've had a couple of those "doozies" too. I'm gonna guess you won't be eating nachos again any time soon!! Hey Labbandit...you are six pounds away from onederland! Hope this doesn't mean you'll be leaving us. You may need a "dual residency" Oh, and happy belated birthday Josette!
-
Uh, one more here! Happens to me quite a bit too. I always assumed it's because I'm so fair skinned. Doesn't hurt though, just looks a little weird.

I'm more aware of my port as well. Sometimes it sticks out which isn't necessarily a bad thing, as it means I've lost enough for that to happen. My surgeon said once I lose enough, he can easily replace it with a low profile port so it won't stick out.
