Never again will I be the fat child

I had my first fill at 4 weeks post op

I am down 1 lb this week for a total 4.4.

I just started drinking “muscle milk light” the chocolate is good 100 calories. I get it at target or HEB. Big difference between the regular 11 grams of fat, light 3 grams. Ready to drink.

I cooked last Sunday night for my family so my son and daughter-in-law do not have to eat too big meals on the same day. I did so good that day we had 4 different pies since everybody like something different. I cooked the whole meal myself and did not pick at food when I was cooking, ate a very small amount at dinner and passed on the pie. Well . . .then Monday came and I was home alone 10 hours and the all the pies were still here BIG MISTAKE should have sent them home with people but they would not take them since they would eat another meal on Thursday. I made it through Monday no pie! Tuesday I had my 3 year old and 6 month old Grandbabies from 8:00 am until 7:00 pm did I mention I also work at home as graphic designer so I had work to do also. All day Tuesday the pies were here a few more pieces missing from my husband eating. But still plenty in there. I was fine that pie was not going to bother me. I was taking a break sitting on the living room floor playing with my 3 year old grandbaby while the 6 month old was a sleep in the middle of my king-size bed only a few yards away for me when I hear this loud thug noise and look into my room and there is my precious baby girl on the floor looking at me like what happen. She had woke up with out talking or crying and rolled around and fell of the bed. She was not hurt but had to call my son at work and my daughter-in-law at work who is a nurse and see if they wanted me to take her to DR to let them do a quick check. I watch those kids like a hawk, have watch the 3 year old 3 times a week since she was 8 weeks old and now I have both 2 days a week. Well after all that stress I ate a piece of banana cream pie. Can you blame me? Needless to say the next 2 days were nothing but protien shakes. Christmas there will be no pies in the house. Pie and dessert served on the front porch so put your jacket on!!!

I am blessed by God by having a job when so many people are out of work.

I have been banded for 4 months and just had my 3rd fill and now I am at 3ccs. My Dr is very conservative with the fills. He says it is best to go slow. I have ready where a lot of people get their fills too fast and then can not eat and have to get unfills. So you are not alone. As long as you are losing you should be fine. I have a 10cc band too. Congratulations on you weight loss!!

We have to remember not everyone has a weight problem so they can eat if they need to or want to. Just do not let it bother you. My husband and grandbabies eat in front of me all the time (not to be rude but because they are hungry) Most times I am the one who has to pop the popcorn and sometimes drive thru to get him a hamburger for dinner (he works 2 jobs) I just do not let it bother me. I would never cry about food and I have clinical depression. We have to be tough and stronger than food. It has already messed us up. Remember the saying “Nothing taste as good as being thin feels!“

Do you go to any of his support group meetings? If so do a lot of people go?

This time it was Starbucks at Baybrook Mall. Next time it will be at a different Starbuck the mall was so busy and too much noise. You are welcome to come. You would be an inspiratation for us. One of the girls there today had lost over 100 lbs too. If you want you can bring your wife or girlfriend whatever make you comfortable. I will let you know when we will meet again. Maybe you could come. The very first time my husband went with me since it was the first time I ever met someone on the internet

I had to try it several times to finally get on

Well 3 of us met today it was fun. When we meet again in a 3 weeks or a month. Maybe someone else would like to come. Anyone is welcome and we always meet in a public place so everyone will feel safe.

I used Dr Spivak and was self pay. I love him, he is a great Dr. and his staff is really nice. I was banded on July 13 and have lost 36 lbs so far. I saw Dr. Spivak at the seminar and then paid the $100.00 to see him right after the seminar that was Saturday July 11 and I had my surgery Monday morning at 6:30 am. I am seeing him Tuesday for my 3rd fill.

Today God blessed me by making it possible for my husband and I to be able to bless someone else. It felt good
