It only last a couple of months and it is more like thinning some. For or me it was between months 6 and 8. The no beef for a year I have never heard. I eat a lot of chicken though but I have eaten ground beef since I was okayed for solids. (like tacos). That might can be a rule that can be bent. But I always believe you should do what YOUR surgeon tells you, talk to him or her about that. cheri

I have the same thing and I have been banded 8 months but have only lost 60 lbs. Sometimes I think it has to do with when I workout. But in the past two weeks I have really noticed it. Where is your port? Mine is right at the bottom of your bra line right in the center. I can really feel it when I touch it and when I do not. Maybe someone will know for us.

Banded July 13, 2009. Down 58 lbs and just sitting and waiting for the scale to move some more. I have had 4 fills but am only at 3.5 ccs. Last fill has me getting stuck alot. Good luck to everyone!

I am not want to say anthing about the Dr there. But my family lives in Mexico and Juarez if a very dangerious place. I am in Texas and the deaths and danger down there is horrible. I am not saying don't go to Mexico just pick another town away from Juarez. Sorry just had to warn you. Look it up on the internet about the danger and hundres of death and missing people. It is all with the drugs and gangs If you do go please do not go alone. Cheri

Normal anytime you have a big changes in diet your body needs time to adjust. Are you getting any carbs? When you go real low carb it is very had at first Cheri

Special K also make a Protien Bar that is so good. Taste just like a candy bar. It has 12 grams of protien in it. I like the chocolate Peanut Butter. I think 25 Carb 180 calories. I buy them at walmart and Sams's. I only eat one a day because of the carbs. But it keeps me full 4-6 hours. Find them at the protien section.

Call your Dr. and till them what is going on and if it will change when swelling goes down. It might be good to get a very small unfill then being stuck not be able to eat or drink over the weekend.

Sounds normal. They probably had you hooked up to an IV for a couple of hours. Take your pain meds and each day will get better. Did you walk any today. You should try to walk about 20 minutes. I walked late at night in my PJs with a pillow pressed againest my tummy, in my driveway ,it really helps with the gas. I am 7 months out and no problems. I have the same problems expect my fill has been 2 weeks ago. I only have 3.5 ccs in 10cc band. I only got .5cc this last time. I am sticking to yogurt and protien bars as I have no problem with them.

Okay we missed everyone today! We had two new people today one banded a year and one not band yet. They are such nice people. But . . . . .we missed all our other people. Where are you? We missed you. We planned another one for March 28 at Starbuck by target across from Baybrook Mall. (Really in is in the PetsMart and Chucky cheese shopping Center) but by the road but can make changes if we need to. Just let us know. Hope everyone is doing do great Here is another reason to come because you never know who you will meet. One of the people who came today was my best friend my whole childhood. My dad died when I was 10 and over the years we lost total touch. After about 1½ hours of talking to her we figured out who each other was. It made my day!!!!! Come and see what happens to you! I only have 3.5 ccs and have trouble eating. I just got a fill (4th) a week ago of .5 ccs and it made a huge difference in how I can eat and feel when I eat. So everyone is different. Give it some time. You do not want to be too tight.

Very well put Patty. I totally agree with what you said. I would not be able to make it one day to the next without God's hand upon my family and I. I would be lost without my relationship with The Lord. You guys don't know what you are missing. My prayer is you will one day!:tongue_smilie:

You have lost 21 lbs that is good. You can private message me I would love to talk to you. There are a lot of good books about emotional eating maybe you should get on. I did and am reading it now. Also it is very impoetant to get in a support grou[. A couple of us had to start our own. Cheri
