Sounds like you might have got to your sweet spot. My fills are so tight at first and it takes months for them to loosen up to normal. I have been doing very low carb, not no carb for the past 2 weeks and dropped 5 lbs. It is the first weight I have lost in 2 months. Anything to get that scale to move. Let keep talking!! Cheri

I agree get some counseling to find out what is causing the emotional eating. I already had 3 years of counseling before I had surgry related to depression, but you learn great coping skills and they will help you Cheri

Nice post! I agree, if you think you are addictive to food get in some counseling before having band and after. Emotional eaters will still be emotional eaters . . . but just with a band. Cheri

You are probably too tight, you need to have a very small unfill. They say even a tiny unfill makes all the difference. I have been too tight and vomited blood from throwing up too much. I do not slime and have only done it once in a year. But a friend of mine slimes all the time when she is too tight but has never vomited in her year. My restriction on my band is different everyday. Sometimes I can eat in the morning and sometimes I am gurgling my coffee down in the morning. You can hear it gurgle!! Somedays I can not eat at all, until evening. Keep us all posted as to what you do, but I think a small unfill will help you, just like .2.ccs or .3ccs. Nothing drastic. I would call your Dr and discuss it with him or her. Cheri

I have read many of your posts and on a few threads things did get out of hand, but not just by you on 2 of those threads there are others who need to do the same. You seem like a nice person, it is hard to post that things went too far. I once had to say sorry for posting something that was very judgmental. You could have private messaged some of them but you did not you did it where all could read. Hope you serve as a good example to all of how we need to respond to each other on these threads. I know it is the rant and rave section but things have been really ugly on those 2 threads. I was wondering why they were not deleted, as I have seen before. Somebody owes me an apology for saying I must have took the short bus to school. Cheri

I am one year out, and was stalled for the last 3 months, no weight gain and maybe some inches lost, but scale not moving. Even when I increased my exercise. Been no carb for 3 days and low carb after that for another 3 days and weight is coming off again. My whole body just feels better on low carbs. I like many others did the Adkins diet several times before WLS and lost weight but always regained it. The trick I think is to do low carb while losing and then you can very slowly add more carbs. If you do it slow enough and not just quit the weight is not just regained. Cheri

How did we disrespected Mary! . . . but even if someone did it is not the ultimate sin. God blessed Mary by choosing her to concieve Jesus the Son of God. But we can not pray to Mary it is useless. You only get to the Father (God) through the Son (Jesus), not through Mary or a Priest You might rot in hell if that is all you have. But I know where I am going when I died. Which sometimes is temping because this world and a lot of creation is evil in their thoughts and the things they speak God can handle a lot of things but rejection is the ultimate sin. When I die I want to see my family who has gone before me. I want to be amazed when I see Jesus and God sitting on their thrones and 10,000 angels and people praising God all day and night We will miss you! I wish I knew the answers. I am very tight in the morning and until about 2:00 pm or 3:00 pm. I can only get Water or coffee down me at that time. At about 2:00 I eat “Lunch” and later in the evening “Dinner”. I never can sleep so I am up until about 3:00 am or later. My husband goes to sleep around 10:00 pm and I have all those hours alone. And that is when I want to eat. I try to stick to sugar free Popcicles. But it is a struggle every night. But this week I am not going to have anything but water after 7:00 pm and see if it helps with my weightloss. Another Lapbander does that and she says it helps her. I was like that right after surgery and I am a year out this month and weightloss is slowing down to nothing. Good luck to you try to drink more water in the evening and see if it helps with real hunger. Head hunger is a totally different thing. I am sure that is my problem. Also if your “Dinner” meal contains too many carbs I think that can start you on a roll for the night, just craving more. Try a protien snack instead of a carb. Cheri

You should be asleep is you have surgery in the morning! Be sure and take a pillow to hold up against your tummy for the ride home. I walked around for days with a pillow pressed up on my tummy. It helps with pain alot. Also I would take some chewable gasX and take some right after surgery.

It was just a year for me on July 13th I lost 68 lbs but I was hoping for 75 or more. I have learn a lot about myself this year and look forward to losing another 35 or so this next year. I agree with you I can not lose anything anymore unless I workout. Congratulation to you and let keep in touch our 2nd year Good Luck!!!!! Cheri

Let you tell you with some of the threads out there bashing Christians it is nice to have a place where offering to pray for someone or asking for prayer is always accepted. Thank you Lord for this thread and these people here to suppot others. Cheri

July 13th was one year for me. Lost 68 lbs but still want to lose 35 lbs more. A friend of mine banded two days after me she lost 103 lbs in her year. Congratulation to you all. Special Congatulations to Elcee for making it to goal!! Cheri

So sorry to hear about your loss. I will be praying that God's hand will be upon your family and that your husband will get come safe. Pease remember you have to let yourself grieve it only makes it worse to hold it in. You have your whole life for the Lapband, but this is your time for take care of yourself! Cheri

I think when I read a thread that starts as this one did that it seems to draw me to it because it is human nature to defend those you love, so I read them and although I do not have the same knowledge as pattygreen does I still feel the need to defend what I too believe in. Just as you defend what you believe in. Is there a reason you feel the way you do? Always felt this way even as a kid?. If it is okay to ask. I read the Christian Bandsters thread too. I guess I am just not a debater, which is what these threads are all about I just seem to take it too personal. Cheri

Still waiting on the rant and rave on Santa! You are so hard to talk to. I am not trying to change your mind, but you won't change mine either. It is just hard to see people put down someone I owe my life to and depend on everyday to be put down all the time. This is someone I love. Can you understand that and respect that? If I understand and respect that you are not a believer. I really am a nice person but it hurts like is someone was talking about my husband or child. But God is most powerful and all knowing and He can take care of Himself. But I feel hate from your posts is that what you want to send? Cheri
