I also gained in the hospital but was forwarned by doctors staff that this would happen. I actually did not weigh myself for a week or so after surgery. I felt pretty lousy and just wanted to forget the whole thing. Hang in there...it will come off soon. This is a life long journey. There will be ups and downs along the way but your health will improve. Slowly or quickly depends on your physical self, age, ability to be 100% true to the program or only 80%, 70% or what ever it is.
