When I first was coming to these groups I was interested in lapband, later decided that was not me and wnt on with life. I have been struggling with weight for over 20 yrs and over the last yr felt if i didnt get something to help me , i didnt have much longer.. I actually am quite healthy for my weight which has been a great thing for me surgery wise. I had a PA that had the sleeve and she started talking to me about it and got me to look further into it. My insurance would not cover the sleeve and after meeting the dr at the baraitric center they felt that with my past and weight that RNY would be my best option. Since about January I have been jumping thru the hoops in order to get surgery. The found I had a huge gall stone and needed it removed. That was my first experience with Dr Traul. It went great! I put off the RNY a couple months due to kid graduating high school and the older one graduating AIT in the Army and being shipped to Korea. Finally July was here.. My biggest fear is that I will do everything right and the weight will stay.
