I have been proportioned my whole life.  Not fat, not skinny at all but had curves in all the right places.  I was VERY skinny only 2x in my life and I worked so hard to get there, trying to maintain it was just as hard.  So, it came no surprise to me that when I found out I was having my first baby, a boy, I gained a total of 80lbs along with toxemia.  After the delivery and through that first year I lost 40lbs and not 1lb more.  About 2 years went by and we were blessed with another baby, this time a girl, so instead of craving sour and salty things I wanted cupcakes and chocolate.  Here comes 40lbs along with about 20 more.  I lost only 15lbs with that birth.  I started weight watchers at that point and was doing very well on it actually.  Counting those points couldn't have been any easier.  I lost about 15lbs in those 3 months but to my surprise I was pregnant again.  Oh I cried, but I love my man and the kids are great proof.  Today I weigh 283.  I've decided on the Lap-band because I like the challenge.  The challenge knowing I still have to work at losing the weight myself, the band is there as my partner.  When my eyes are too big for my stomach I can count on the band to tell me when enough is enough.  I love to eat and it shows but I want to stay around long enough for my kids as well.  Being overweight has caused me great grief.  The knees and back and being out of breath, its not fair to my kids.  I do it for me as a preventative measure.  To prevent me from developing illnesses that could eventually kill me.
