Down a total of 50lbs as of 4 days ago. on solid foods a week or two now. Finally got somthing stuck today, besides being a food I had no business eating anyway. Then 5 hours later on some ravioli for lunch I got that stuck for several seconds. My experience so far with this band is a 10 out of 10 with 10 being totally awsome. My first fill is 9/24. looking forward to being tighter.

in the two years since my last fill I have had no real issues with my stoma then got a pill stuck and have been swollen for 4 days now. no symptoms of slippage. IE No heartburn, no pain etc. liquids go through in the am slowly, but in the afternoon it even goes down more slowly. I dream of a big glass of crystal light which is ice cold. half a dixie cup feels like its with me for an hour or so. I feel like I have some signs of dehydration. My doc said if I can get liquids to go down at all then I should come in during office hours. He also suggested to go the the er or urgent care for iv fluids if I am dehydrated. What is best to help with swelling warm liquids, cold liquids, or any other tricks to help with swelling. I am thinking about going in monday to get some taken out, I talk on the phone all day and need my liquids to keep my mouth moist after talking so much. History, this month marks 7 years post op. 7 days out, was the worry worth it? or was it much better then anticipated. I survived mine with very little pain.

I began forcing my food back up not chewing well and getting stuck. I began eating the wrong foods and feeling guilty and bringing back up. It became very easy to regurgitate and to stop doing this I had my band unfilled most of the way so I can stop the habit. I didn't think I would go back to being starved and eating everything in site again. I gained 65 lbs back. I hope only a fill or 2 now will get me to where I should be. I really have to penalty for over eating and never have, but I got over filled and when I got stuck I couldn't eat, drink or take my medicine. so this is my bulimic story. I guess I need to do what I should have done 2 years ago and see a counselor and find a support group.

I had my 2nd fill which was 2cc bringing me up to 6cc in a 11cc band. I am able to drink fine but I have this constant feeling in my throat like something is stuck at the base of my neck. Is this related to the fill am I feeling too tight or just me being paranoid?

So far lost 57, but nothing since my last fill. But again we are not in an ideal living situation. house was broken into and severely vandalized and living in a hotel. I have been able to eat normal sized meals and have been. Finally called my doctor today and go in on monday to get another fill. Probably will do a liquid diet for a few days to jump start the weight loss. I have never had anything majorly stuck. Have never thrown anything up either. will have to start being good and learning my eating slow and small bites.

Lost additional 2 lbs. Started mushie stage and the weight loss slowed a bit. Was eating oatmeal for breakfast which is not the best food. First fill on 9/30. I went from borderline size 52 to a comfortable 48 and I punched my first hole in my belt.

the port is under the stomach muscle usually on the right side. When people lose enough sometimes you can see the lump. The doctors are skilled at feeling it and sticking the needle through the skin and into the port. Jim

Still doing great, work is good. Even moved some dirt yesterday with no problems. Down a total of 42lbs. Around 600 - 800 calories a day. :smile2:

Back to work today, could have stayed off longer but without having any pain couldn't really justify it to myself. I am down 35lbs as of sunday 8/23. Feeling great. Started mushy foods today. I can't believe how easy all this has been. the only pain I have is the pain of paying for this out of pocket. :laugh:

Still no pain, just some discomfort after vacuuming the living room. and the drinking too fast discomfort. Other then that this experience is wonderful. couldn't help getting on the scale today and anther 2 lbs. My band is a realize band. highest surgery current goal total 29lbs 350 234 221 170
