I was banded on friday the 28th of August. I have to see I feel pretty good except for gas. How long does it last normally? I went to a buskerfest yesterday as I was told moving around was the best thing for getting rid of the gas. I wasn't feeling to good after that but took a 4 1/2 hour nap it was better. I feel it mostly in my chest and shoulders any other suggestions for moving it. Otherwise all seems really good so far,:wub:

Hi there anybody know of good fill doctors in the Barrie Ontario area as I don't want to travel to Toronto every time I need a fill.

I have a surgery date set for August 28th. I haven't told my husband that I'm having it. I'm going to tell him it was some other form of surgery because if he knew he would freak. Does anyone else have a similar situation? I realize this may be hard to keep a secret after the surgery, but so far he isn't aware of anything. He really doesn't notice much about me anymore. I figure I'll just deny, deny, deny. My daughter, mother and a few friends know and are really supportive. I'll be staying with my daughter for 3 or 4 days post op anyway. I hope all goes well.

I'd lke to thank everyone for thier opinions but especially those that understand that some relationships are difficult. Everyone that knows my husband understands completely why it is best not to tell him. My own mother says the only thing she wishes is that I had made the decision to have this surgery sooner. They are my support most of the time anyway. My mother, my aunt, my kids and my best friend. I love my husband but he doesn't need to know, it will cause him enormous amounts of stress and anxiety and, it will keep the peace in this family and that is more important to me.

Hello everyone...well I'm going to do it!! After battling my weight all my life I am getting banded. No more yo yo dieting, time to take care of myself. I'm a little nervous, but excited too. Only a few weeks to go, I hope all goes well. I was thrilled to find this site, very informative. Looking for support wherever I can find it. Bye for now.

does anyone know of doctors, clinics, nurses or anywhere near Barrie On. Canada where I can get fills? Is it easy enough for my family doctor to do? Thanks.
