lingra replied to medonahue4688's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'm having the same pain but mine is located below my left breast but seems to be at the top of my rib cage. I have a doctors appt on wed. 02-20-13. I have had this pain now for 4 days, all day. I had the flu and was sick and constantly throwing up. I hope that I didn't cause any damage to my band. -

lingra replied to rosstheboss's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
It's been a long time since i visited the site. But im happy i did. I learned so much about TT surgery and insurance. I've been living with this extra skin hanging on my stomach for so long, that I can't enjoy my weight loss. It's time for me to get rid of the skin. Thanks for motivating me to ACTION. Best of luck to everyone. -
What Happens When You Reach Your Goal Weight?
lingra replied to txdee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am having the same problems. Im 10 lbs from my goal. I've continued to exercise and walk daily but can't lose the last 10 lbs. I started playing basketball with my 30 yrs daughter and 10 yr old grand-daughter to try to change up my excerise workout. Im hope this will get the pounds to start dropping again. I thought that maybe my body was use to the same old routine. -
OMG! you look amazing. Thanks for sharing you pics. This will give me the boost i need to continue my weight loss. Im 20lbs away from goal. As soon as i reach my goal, I will then have the TT done.

lingra replied to Sharon1222's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I had a fill on 12/12/11, and today i fill like everything is getting stuck. This afternoon that stuck feeling is starting to loosen up. I thought about getting a small unfill also. I will just monitor my situation and go from there. If I have to get unfilled, i will have to travel from Las Veas, NV back to Phoenix, AZ to get it done. -

I kind of hate my new body....
lingra replied to trishfish's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am also having that same feeling, that i just hate the way my body looks now. I know we all did this to lose the weight, but it plays tricks on your mind. I'm 54 and have lost 65lbs. I had my surgery on 08-12-09, so I've lost the weight pretty slow. I wanted to lose slowly so I wouldn't have to much skin sagging. Im greatful for the weight loss, but need help mentally finding the beauty in myself. Thanks goes to your husband who compliments your beauty and "thinks you're hot." Stay on track and we must all love our new self. -
Slow is the correct way to lose the weight. If you lose to fast your skin will sag and not have time to tighten on it own.

I'm having the same problem. I had to see to doctor because, this has been a continous problem for me and I'm 11 months post-op. He has recomended that I drink prune juice a couple times a week. Since I have had the surgery, I have a constant problem with constipation. He thinks it all of the protein that i have to eat.

My doctor has banded the use of Crystal light, because it has a sweenter and any form of sweetner or sugar will make you hungry.

Can you eat a whole burger when you have good restriction?
lingra replied to zuly98's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have tried to eat a jr whooper. I can only eat 3 bites and end up throwing it away. I can never eat a burger and fries. If i eat fries, I can only eat about 4 and i'm stuffed. But can't eat both. -

Christmas Weightloss Challenge
lingra replied to Fluffy Jen's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
To ElfiePoo: They removed it all because I had been vomiting for almost 2 weeks. They said they want to give my stoma a rest and let the swelling go down from constant vomiting. -
You are definitely to tight. I had the some problems about 2 weeks ago and I had to go in to get unfilled. When I went they remove all of the saline because I had been vomiting to long and stoma became very irritated and was having acid reflux really bad. They told me that if you go to long like this it will damage the band from the constant throwing-up. I have been unfilled for 2 weeks now. I go back on Dec. 15 for a fill. It better to remove some of the fluid, than to cause yourself any harm or damge your band. Good luck and keep us posted.
