Kitkat - I know exactly how you feel. I think almost everyone is in that same place. Or at least been there. My surgery is next friday. One week from today. I just want it done so I can start my new life. Good luck to you and keep posting.

I know this is the right thing for me I just hate being put to sleep. I'm not sure if that makes any sense, but ... Thanx for letting me talk.

Thank you for the good thoughts and words. I appreciate them. This time next week... As for husband, kids and food, I'm a very lucky woman. My husband is retired and does all of the cooking and cleaning etc. I will just sit with them and drink my clear broth!! mmmm One really awesome thing today is that my clean just washed jeans are too big. I like them to be a bit tight so my belly doesn't show so much. Today they are baggy. Without me wearing them!!! It was a really good moment. Have a great day/weekend.

Hi Rosebud, Welcome. I'm also 51, no grandchildren, but 3 children - 2 teens, and one 20 something. My surgery is next friday. I'm scared and excited off and on. Doing the Meditrim shakes right now. Ali, I am so with you on this. My surgery is next friday, and I have been doing the shakes for 7 days now. I try not to be around my family when they eat, but it is hard. I see what they are eating and keep wondering what the heck I was thinking when I started this. Then I remembered. I want my kids to be healthy and I don't want to die. As scared as I am to let go of my food addiction, I"m more scared of missing out on my kids future. I worked so hard to get them and I"m not ready to let them go yet. I don't know if that makes sense or not, but that is what's working for me. I hope that helps. Sheri

I'm on day 7 of 14 days for my shakes. My surgery is July 31/09. I was given the Meditrim Shakes. I picked chocolate and it is very good. Good luck to you Sheri
