About Me

  • Occupation
    RN

I don't really have a good story.  I suddenly realized I could hardly climb a flight of stairs without gasping for breath.  I had been doing so well with weight loss and maintenance, when I started fracturing bones in my feet.  They were related to weak ligaments not the bones.  In less than 5 years I had 4 fractures.  When I sat, I ate and when I ate, I grew.  And not up. Suddenly, I'm 51, very over weight and can't breath.  On top of which, I am adopted without a family history of any kind.  I feared my behaviours were going to get me deal.  I don't want that for me.  I have so many things left I want to do. I had a yearly physical with my family MD and told him my concerns and what I had been thinking about(Lap banding) He agreed immediately and referred me.  I guess the rest is history since my surgery is next friday.
