I was banded 7/16. Im glad there are many others out there than i can talk to about progress especially since we were banded on the same day. I had my post op appt on Monday. and since surgery have lost 20.2 lbs. I was extatic. Mainly living off applesauce...cottage cheese and mashed potatoes. Oh and babyfood fruit haha. (some of it IS ok haha and note.. just OK) My doctor said next monday i should be able to move to thin shaved deli meats and such. so im excited about that and that im healing real good. Exercise wise... ive either been walking or riding my eliptical. Been told to take it easy for just a while longer. Making sure to get in my Protein shakes and Water. hope all is well with all of you! :juggle:

So HI! My name is Emily . Im 23. I was just banded on july 16th.No problems during surgery. My stay was excellent. I didnt get up and walk much the night at the hospital. I didnt sleep the night before surgery( nerves) so when i had to be tehre at 530am i was exhausted and after the recovery room and being placed in my room i slept a lot! Prolly every 20 minutes hahah on and off. I had some slight gas pain in my tummy. Other than that i was peachy. So far (and its only been 7 days) nothing to complain about except i wanna CHEW something haha. Im not hungry I just want to have some kind of consistancy in my mouth. Im still on Clear Liquids. I am on that until I go for my post op visit on Monday with my doctor. Most go to what my doc calls "full liquid" after 7 days but apparently according to his rules i wait until i go see him. I havent weighed myself yet. Last time i saw my weight it was at the hospital before i put on my gown. Im very excited to meet people and to have some one to talk to who understands what im going through. My parent sympathize but dont get it when they sit down in front of me while i sip my broth and they are eatting big macs lol. RUDE :thumbup: If you wanna know more about me just ask.
