  1. U guys I was sp excited abt having my lapband surgery. Just the thought of losing weight and putting on stylish clothes and feeling good abt myself again was like a dream to come true. But now i feel like im getting no where, it's been 17 months and i've only lost 47lbs im getting so discouraged, my start on the journey was good, then it just got slow and and now its darn right hard to get the scale to even move,i was in a size 20 now im in a 14 but i have been in this 14 seems like forever and a year!!!!!!! my goal is to get the scale down to 165. I just dont feel that its going to happen for me, i read and see of of u guys stories and results im like wow, i know their happy and feel good again!! I want to feel good abt myse;f again so badly and to be able top look in the mirror and be happy abt what i see looking back instead of this fat person i know i still im. now with new yr i said i got to do this i want to make it at my goal by or b4 my birthday in august. i know i have to kick it up on the walking and working out. but are there any other helpfully suggestions u guys can give me. i have a 10cc band i think im at 8.5 or 9cc, i still pretty much can eat what i want, i feel more restriction now than i have the whole 17 months i been banded. Sometimes i have a problem with getting some foods to stay down, sometimes it will come back up, but i feel i could be/should be tighter. I have to be honest ova the holidays i did now try to lose weight, now im back on track and ready to get this weight off once and for all. what do anyone suggest as far as what foods to eat and would u get another fill?? i need some help u guys, i dont want to have been went through surgery and took the pain from it for nothing. i have just got to beat this weight battle, it has taken to much from me i want to live and be happy with me again and i cant do this until i get the rest of this weight off me.

    Thanks u guys u are giving me hope, yur giving great advice, i went to sleep down and out woke and was reading yur replys and feel like i can conquer the world, Thanks for taking the time to reply to my post i really needed the help, but pls stay posting add me to yur friends list chk on me whatever cause i know im still going to need help, and i would like to let u know my progess as well as yurs, my goal is to be at my goal as at least as close to that as i can be by the end of aug

    i agree great advice so far, yeah maybe eatting to fast. was telling myself time to really think abt it and eat as slow as i can. last nite that was my plan with dinner worked fine. I had a salad and a piece of fish. i only was able to eat haf of it all, felt great.

    WOW!! im going to take everything in consideration abt the advice u gave as well. I was doing the online food tracker w/livestrong but somethings wasnt on there and so on so far but hey im abt to stop making excuses and just use it so my drs can see where im going wrong if i am and help me stay on track. u gave plenty of good advice that i will be using. I just love this site u guys can be so helpful, its nice to know i have a place to turn to for help when needed!!!!!!! Now dont get me wrong im excited abt the being in a 14, the only thing is i have been this way for a while now and want to go down more, being ova a yr i think i should be in a smaller size, but i will take the blame for this i will do betta!!!!!!!

    Thank u, im happy abt the weight i have lost just want more, at this point. I havent seen my dr since Sept. because i didnt think i needed a fill, but i will give them a call on monday to talk sum things ova, my dr is a 1 1/2 hrs away so i have to make sure of things b4 i go there. Isure will keep u guys informed on my progess.

    Thank u for the advice, will give it a try. i thought i was doing ok with my carbs but im abt to seriously be on it, i have got to get the lbs down. The only thing that im intaking now is yogurt that have carbs like that but my nurse told me a while ago that ,that was fine. she's telling me things like Protein shakes but i cant find one that i like besides carnations instant bkfast, but then its watch the sugars in it im like ok . but like i said at this point im ready to give it a try. thanks again for the advice will try.

    Yes i was looking at my carb intake and wasnt eatting a lot of carbs but now, im abt to truly give all i have, i will take yur advice the best i can, cut my carb intake all the way down. even though i thought i was doing so, the things i was eatting with the most carbs was yogurt and its the low fat yogurt that my nurse told me that would be ok, but i just gotta get to the bottom of this. Thank u for u advice.

    Thank u for yur support, I honestly neva thought abt adding a day to exercising but i will try that, i usually just do mon-fri but i think i can add sat to the plan.

    89Lbs gone forever

    wow u look amazing!! what are u doing cause i cant seem to getthis weight off me like that i was banded aug 11, and have lost 51 lbs i feel i should have lost more by now. i have a 10 cc band right now its filled @ 6 cc going back next week to get another fill. i just dont understand where im going wrong.
  10. ok this the thing. Someone did a weightloss chanellenge for xmas i miss that one would have loved to do it. When i saw it i thought what a great idea (thanks Fluffy Jen) i would love to start a chanellenge for Valentine's Day I want to lose abt 40lbs by then that would get me out the 200+ lbs weight and help me stay motivated to lose this weigth if i had sum others doing with me. my husband is deployed and coming home this spring or summer for 2wks, i really would love to have been lost almost everything i need to lose by the time he makes it here. Is there anyone interested in doing this with me we can keep each other on the right track. Right now im weighing in @ 227 with the challenge that would weight me in @187 by Valentine Day.:thumbup: i'm so excited i have seen 100 anything on the scale for me in yrs.

    ok so today i weighted 217.8 not bad but i could have done so much better but i admit i have been slacking a lot i havent been working out like i needed to be doing. so now i know i will not make my goal, but i know if i had tried a lot harded i may have done it. So now im working harder this month to still make it out of the 200 range. and then 10bls a month from then on until i make my goal weight.155- 165. I hope everyone did good. and keep the good work going i sure am. my best wishes are with u guys. it was fun sumone should start another one.lol.

    hello guys, so today i weighted in @ 219.6...... yeaaaaaa for me. that brings me to a total of 7.4 lbs loss. still a ways to go but the way im starting to see it now is sum loss is better than no loss, and way better than sum weight gain. how is everyone doing?? im going to go to the gym in a lil while to ride the bike again that bike is a monster, but it must be doign sumthing for me. how many of u guys are working out?? can u tell me what u are doing and is there anything good for the stomach, besides sit-ups, lol.

    man this is getting hard or im focusing on trying to loss to quickly:confused:. i feel like im on a stand still, i'm at 221.6 im losing but it seems so slow, as to when i started weight was just falling off. i dont feel as if im going to make my goal of being 187 lbs by v-day. i gotta start going to work out everyday to try harder i know half my problem but sum days get a lil harder than others. hope u all are doing good.

    hello all, sorry but last wk i didnt get a chance to check in nor visit the site at all, i was still out of town for the holidays and my moms computer was not working. ok, so i sorta new i was gonna eat and all ova the holidays but man i did bad. i gained like a pounded and a half, only because i was eatting bad and i knew it i didnt walk or anything, the only good thing is i have lost the pound and a half back when i got on the scale this morning im back at 223, which just put me and the same place i was 2 wks ago :blushing:(((( i have got to really bust my butt and do better now. i go for another fill tomoro im looking forwardto that hopefully it will help me. how are u guys doing?? anyone did good ova the holidays?? @ dbeers i need one of those, i go to the gym and walk everday (besides last wk) would be nice to have one in my house, i have been thinking abt getting a ab circle pro.

    @ babertm, lingra and skinnygirl welcome to the VWC it not to late to start, i would love for as many ppl to do this with me as possible, i really want to lose this weight. we have been checking in on mondays as far as weight, but feel free to come through the wk too just write and say how u did for that day or whatever. @ skinnygirl i do understand where u are coming from with wanting to wait until the new yr and thats fine i think i myself, maybe eatting a lil much for xmas, well as much as i can handle anyway lol. but any tips or anything u guys want ot share will be great. i try to walk every day at lease a mile sum times i run sum. and im eatting bake chicken and a lot of salads. if i can cut my late nite snacking out i will be doing great. "off we go"

    hello all, doing my monday check in, i'm slowly doing this im down to 223.8 i'm getting closer to my goal i just hope all goes well. I want to make it to my goal so bad, i will be so excited. 187 by valentine day then only 37 more to go until i meet my weight goal. i hope everyone is doing good on their journey i would really like for u guys feed back and to see how the rest of u are doing, any tips would help.

    @ dyer530 that is great, remember any weight is good. we dont want to gain any. This is my 1st weigh-in so far, i have lost 2lbs, so now i have 38 more to lose b4 Valentine Day. I didnt get a chance to walk today my daughter had a Xmas program @ school, i will be on it tomoro hopefully nothing will come up. " Off we go" GOODLUCK TO EVERYONE TRYING TO FIGHT THIS BATTLE.

    ok guys this is great im so happy u all are wanting to do this with me. i'm going to try to do a spreadsheet, i have never did one so give me a lil time to figure it out unless sumone else knows how and dont mind. if by chance i cant do it then we can just keep track of our weight and all on here, @ dyer530 i think once a wk is fine, so mondays it is, we can check in and see how everyone is doing on mondays, i'm wishing all u guys the best of luck as we try to get this weight off of us. so with that being said "OFF WE GO"lol.:thumbup:

You guys, i'm really need yur help i was banded in august i have lost 40 from then until now most of it was early on now the weight is really at a stand still im confused getting depressed not understanding what is wrong now im really trying to lose and nothing is happening. I have a 10cc band and righ tnow i have 5 1/2 cc in it. i can eat more than i feel i should be eatting. when i got my last fill which was on the 1st of dec the dr filled 1cc which gave me a total of 6cc and had me to drink sum water it seemed ok then it came back up, and so they took half a cc out. i think what sum of the issue with that is everytime i go they make me drink sum water laying down (which i think is crazy i try to sit and they say no no lay back down, part of that i think is because my port is in my stomach and they have a hard time finding it, so to keep them from having to deal with it, but i could be wrong). I'm walking,I walk 5 days a wk eating baked meats and salads yogurt, and things like that but nothing is happening, my weight feels like its at a stand still. I"m feeling real down right now, can u guys help me out, can sum not feeling good abt my weight loss at this point. any suggestions.

    hi Fluffy Jen, i didnt make it in time to do yur weight lost chanllenge but that was the best idea ever, thats just what i may need to give me help on getting rid of this weight. I'm going to see abt starting one for valentine hopefully so ppl will be interested in doing one with me. do u have any more weight to loose or have u met yur weight goal??
