I'm on day 3 of my preop diet. Today sucks!! And making food for my children sucks the most!!! I'm looking forward to tomorrow since everyone is saying it gets better on day 4. It's just a means to and end right? :-)

Hang in there!!! It's rough, but so worth it. I just try to keep myself busy so I don't think about it. Of course I have 3 kids to keep me busy!

Stacey, thanks for all the info! I'm going to try not to freak out, I'm just hoping I survive my preop diet, right now I'm pretty hungry!

I'll go ahead and throw mine out there. I started my preop diet today and was 234.4. I'm going to try not to weigh every day, I'll check back in next Sunday (since that will be a week on my preop diet.)

Hang in there, you can do it!!!! I am getting very nervous, I start my preop diet on Sunday. It is supposed to be a liquid diet for 2 weeks, but they are adding in 2 "lean and green" meals for me per day since I am breastfeeding. I did South Beach about 6 months ago and the first 3 or 4 days were awful!!! I think my poor kids will be ready to run away during my preop diet!!

Hi all! I know it's been a few months since anyone has posted in this forum, but I just wanted to say I'm glad I found it! I'm being banded on August 17th and I'm exclusively nursing a 7 month old. I have had a lot of concerns about the pre and post op diets, but I really don't want to put the surgery off. Anyway, this forum has given me a lot of ideas about what to talk about with the nutritionist at my nutrition class coming up this Monday. Thanks! :bored:

Hi! I'm Sarah from the Dayton Ohio area. I'm being banded on August 17th by Dr. Curry. I'm glad to find this site with all the support! I'm 27 and started gaining weight in college and after 3 kids I'm up to 230. I've tried many kinds of diets and most work great for about 2 weeks then I gain it back plus (I'm sure you know the feeling!) I'm excited for this Lapband journey to get underway! :bored:

I'm scheduled to be banded by Dr. Curry on August 17th. I have heard nothing but great things about them and have had really great experiences so far with them. My nutrition class is this coming Monday.
