You may want to add shampoo and soap. When I was in the hospital after having my first daughter I didn't have any shampoo and all they could find me was baby shampoo. Boy was I glad to get home and get a real shower!! I got a call from a nurse yesterday with my surgery instructions. She said my surgery is at 1:30 and I would be in the car by 3 at the latest!! It's amazing how doctors differ on things like preop and post op diets and hospital stays!!

I'm going in on Monday too. It scares the hell out of me when I think about it. So I have been doing a lot of NOT thinking about it!! Of course I have been planning and shopping for stuff I will need afterwards, but trying not to think about how much pain I will be in. And I'm hoping I don't get depressed, or at least I can handle it. YIKES!! I already can't wait until the healing part is over!! Good Luck to everyone going in on Monday. FYI, I was just looking over my doctors instructions. He has people on pureed foods after 24 hours. That includes veggies, fruits, and meats. He is a very well respected lapband Dr, so I trust him to move me forward as he sees fit. I know every doctor has their own set of rule. I'm just saying I would think that pureed lasagna would not slip your band 3 days post.

I am on day 9 of my preop diet and my surgery is a week from today. I have never wanted a Peanut Butter and jelly sandwhich more than right now. I just want some carbs!!! And it's my birthday and I can't even have a piece of cake. I just wanted to vent a little. Thanks for listening. :smile2:

Thanks for all your support guys!! I got through it ( I took a shower instead of making a PB&J). Graywolf, I love the "Remember nothing tastes as good as skinny feels!" Haha, so true!! It looks like I shouldn't be complaining now. After reading some of the other posts in the forum, looks like the hard part is afterwards!

Just wanted to let you know that I think you have me 2 places in your chart. You have me on August 12 morphiend (sarah) but it's actually August 17th. And I think you have me on the 17th just as Sarah. Just wanted to let you know. And thanks for all your hard work on the chart!!!

That's great that his trip was canceled!! I am a stay at home mom too and I will be home alone with them one week after the surgery. I'm a little nervous about that, so I guess we will see how it goes. Let me know how you do being alone with your kiddos!
