Hey Niche Congrats on your weight loss and glad to hear no TT needed! Good luck with the hound ears, i must say mine too are already pretty saggy.. LOL

This is one of my biggest fears I am 26 and do not want to have to have plastic surgery to remove excess skin I've met a few people that have had no problem with excess skin they said drinking lots of water and excercise helped alot I would love to hear any suggestions I'm wondering if cocoa butter will help at all. Anything that might work is worth a shot I would love to hear any suggestions Did anyone lose a lot of weight and not need plastic surgery and if so how did you do it??????

Well Congrats to you on getting ready to be banded its nice to chat with locals. Hopefully we can all keep up with each other. I am very happy with how things have gone so far I go back to my Dr on the 29th and then I'm on to mushies YEAH and I can't wait to see how much weight I've lost since the 14th ( my last appt) at that date I was already down 10.5lbs since surgery on the 9th. I was banded on August 9th and I'm so excited for the weight to start coming off I'm 26 and have never been thin before I am excited at the thought that this time it will happen so far I'm down 26.5lbs but havent noticed a difference yet seems like alot of weight not to notice but I'm hoping soon I will. I am still on liquids only I have another week to go and then I'm on to mushy food sounds so good right about now. Well just wanted to say hi to everyone and keep up the goos work.

IndianLight I feel the same I had my surgery on August 9th and was supposed to go back this wednesday the 23rd but I'm going to try and take another 2 weeks I have a desk job but I feel like I couldnt sit their that long and the drive is 45 min each way

Well i'm 10 days post op and having water ,protein shakes and a little broth my dr didnt even want me to have any broth but said i can once in awhile. I have all of a sudden the past 5 days been having alot of pain in my port area not sure why now i didnt have it at first . is their anything to relieve it or is this normal

I just read all you horror stories about the in-laws and must say i thank god i'm not married and dealing with this yet LOL I must say me and my exes family got along great though I was very close to his parents and still am to this day closer then he is to them but i've def had my fair share of horror stories with another exes mother ahhhhh she drove me nuts Good luck to you all

I havent really had any shoulder pain I have had alot of gas in my upper stomach though. the walking really does help My Dr only gave me hydrocodone so I'm pretty much just dealing with the pain waiting for it to be over I just keep thinking the worst is almost over Thank God LOL

Well I'm right along with Scribby post op day 3 and pretty sore i only am on hydrocodone and tylenol except the tylenol is too sweet since i'm only drinking water and dilluted apple juice i've been walking as much as possible and can only sleep for about an hour at a time I'm not feeling hungry at all though which is great well good luck to everyone talk again soon

Well I'm still pretty new to this too! Well I have my surgery date August 9th...5 more days! Today i got my authorization from my insurance comp so this is all covered I'm soooo excited to start this process

My Dr recommended a specific brand of vitamins... actually i found them they are Bariatric Advantage Vitaband they actually have a few other good choices on the site, if you do a search just put the name and it will come right up. They have chocolate flavored calcium lozenges and some protein drinks and such

thanks i really appreciate it, i see alot of people on here complaining about the length of time it is taking to lose the weight and thats a first everyone i've met from groups and dr kwon's office say that it has been coming off pretty smoothly for awhile then you plateau which is expected
