I am on my second week of pre-op diet. The doctors are going back and forth about if they will do the surgery they want me to lose more weight. I have lost 15 pounds so far this month my surgery is scheduled for March2. I have to call in every morning with my weight I guess to make sure I lose every day. plus I have the flue and feel rotten. I guess I am just having a bad week. My 17 year old moved out last night and said he is moving in with a friend from school. I feel ready to just forget the whole thing. My husband is a wonderful man and has never complained about my weight and has always been supportive, but he thinks that the band will fail like all the times I have tried to lose weight. Anyway thanks for letting me sound off

I am on the Feb. list but had to change surgery in Mexico for the 2nd of March so please add me to the list. I love reading about the people that are looking to God for help. I am a christian and am so thankful for all He has done. God Bless Wilma

My date is Feb. 23 with Dr. Ortez. I have had the surgery date for 3 months so it seems like it has been a long time but it is getting closer now that others are talking Feb. I kinda feel like part of the group now that there is a Feb. post :clap2: Wilma

Brenda I had to work so didn't get to go to the mall. Are there any other get togeithers planned? How many showed up? I have my lap band schedualed in Mexico with Dr. Ortiz so I am really hoping to meet people who have gone before. Wilma

Wilma I am also in Bremerton I have not been banded yet but I am making plans. I really would like to talk to you as this is all new to me. I am planning to go to Mexico to get it done as I have to self pay We have Group Health insurance and they will not pay for banding. Please write back and tell me where you go for fills and how you are doing.

I am looking for the book I heard about by Dr. Ortiz. Can anyone give me the name of the book and how I can get it. Wilma

Thanks I really think that is the way I will go. I know you wouldn't know the cost now, but could you give me a ball park figure of what he charges? It sounds like from your note you are a christian, I am too. I have a new and used Christian book store in Washington state. Thanks again for writing. This is a differant subject but you mentioned Dr. Ortez. I have seen his name before on the web about Lap Band. I want to get it done but will have to be private pay. I noticed Dr. Ortez was much more resonable than the cost in Washington state. Would you be able to recommend going to Mexico? Wilma @ mseed@qwest.net
