  1. I know this might be TMI but I don't know who else to ask. I had my original surgery date set for Jan 3, but on Jan 2nd the doctor decided I needed 5 more tests run. I was to begin my pre op diet on Dec 25th for the Jan 3rd date. So I went ahead and started the diet so that when they decided the date of my rescheduled surgery I'd be ready and wouldn't have to wait 10 more dates. What I have found is I am having constipation issues and don't know what to do about it? They did reschedule me for Jan 18th at 7:30 AM, Woot woot which I am totally excited but I don't want to deal with constipation issues up till then nor afterwards if I can ward it off. Can anyone help me and guide me on what to do? The good news is I lost 13 lbs in 10 days. Yeah. Any and all advice would be appreciated.

    Struggling, Confused, need Help

I had my surgery July 16, lost 38 lbs so far. Will have my first till Sept 4th, this Friday. I have read a variety of calories people should be having but they are all different. How do you figure out how many calories? I have a 54 BMI I know we need 60 proteins daily but can you get too much? I found this great software program to add to my palm pilot to help me track everything. http://www.calorieking.com/software/ckmobplus.php It tracks calories, proteins, carbs, fats and exercising and has over 10,000 listing of foods on it. It has come in very helpful. But it says I should be getting 2400 calories, that sounds insanely too high but again I am HUGE right now. Can anyone give me advice on how many calories and what is the max on protein? I'm also nervous about my first fill. Any advice on what I should eat/drink afterwards and how long this first fill will keep me restricted? Nervous, I'm just plain nervous!! Help, anyone.

    Still going strong!

Would you guide me on what you ate and drank to lose that much? I'm frustrated. I haven't lost weight in 1 week. Maybe your information could really change what I am doing. Any information would be great. I am walking everyday on my treadmill.

    emptiness

Wow, emptiness same feelings here. I was banded July 16, 09 and have lost 23 lbs, have been living on my protein drinks and oatmeal but everytime I turn around I see food and think, What if.... When d4lussier talked about morning that hit a cord with me. I am mourning, that is so true. I have no friends around who have done this nor any who understand what it is like to be so HUGE. I am scared to go out and eat, scared if I venture from the diet I will break, but today I made some very soft hamburger helper, 1/4 cup, and yes that filled me up. Let's stay in touch and we can pull each other through this. I need the support too because I am losing a part of myself and losing a part of who I was for 44 years. Keep the faith and keep visiting here. In my thoughts.
