Hi all to a group I am counting on depending on.  smileI had my surgery July 16th in Denver, CO on a Thursday.  I stayed the night in a hotel, drove 9 hours back to my dad's farm, rested on Saturday, then drove 12 hours to my home in the KC Metro.  On the way home to KC, started having drainage and cold sores on my lips and mouth.  So, I now have cold sores and sinus infection and no sure what to do.  smile  I feel like a big blob in sitting in between my breast.  Isn't this a perfect way to start my lapband story?  giggleI had been researching the lap band for 4 years and finally bit the financial bullet to pay for it myself and get it done.  Once the decision was made a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders and I felt much better.  I LOVE the doctor.  Dr. Kirshenbaum in Parker, Co (Denver Metro).  He put me right to ease, explained all to me and the surgery went without a hitch.  Had a longer than usual time recovering due to my oxygen level being to low, but that was a simple fix.  Walk and use the breathing maching.  I then went to the hotel, propped up on 20 pillows, sleep 4 hours, took pain meds, then slept again and did great.  Only issue I'm having now is the sinus drainage and no desire to eat or drink.Since I got back to KC with a sinus infection and cold sores I'm needing to find liquid mucinex dm and liquid Lyzine to help with the sinus drainage and cold sores... if anyone has any suggestions.  holler.During my 2 week pre-diet I lost 12 pounds, which was a great feeling.  High protein and no carbs, much easier than I thought but it went well.Any suggestions for this first few days I would appreciate very much.  I look forward to my adventure, new life and to meeting other homies in the boat.Treva
